My name is Emma (I'm known as EmMelody on the internet) - I am a Nature Photographer (situated in the South of England, although I have been moving around quite a lot around the country lately). I focus on capturing the beautiful Landscapes of England, and the amazing Animals that can be found in them (you can find other types of photography in my gallery too).
I have been self-teaching myself photography since before I first joined DeviantArt in November 2016. Since a young child, I was raised with nature and have always been passionate about being outdoors. Every day I am outside capturing nature with my camera; my passion starting when my first one was bought for me many years ago as a Christmas present. Up until I joined DeviantArt, I was scared of what people would think of my photos, so I hid them from the world. Now, my whole collection is on DeviantArt. My photos are not taken with the best and most "fancy" equipment on the market, but the equipment I have and continue to experiment with allow me to take the pictures I treasure, and share to DeviantArt every day.
I have recently become interested in painting (Acrylic on Canvas) and I also create a lot of Crafts and DIY's in my spare time; I am hoping to upload some pictures onto here soon (if it doesn't clash too much with my Photography) - I have created some videos of me making these which can be found on my YouTube channel.
I really appreciate feedback on my work - any critique (however small) helps me to dramatically improve the photos I take, and the artwork I create.

I thought I would post a journal onto here as I haven't done it for a while... I'm sorry if this post ends up being long. DeviantArt looks completely different from when I last came online! I’m still getting used to it…
I have always been cheerful on here when I joined almost 3 years ago; all of you on DeviantArt helped me persevere in a beautiful passion of mine and I will always be thankful for it. I'm sorry I left; it’s been about 2 years since I was last really active on here and I want to come back. I feel an explanation is long overdue.
I recently moved to Yorkshire; a beautiful place in the UK over 200 miles from my home. I left my job I worked at for almost 2 years to move there; I was employed to be part time but was made to work full time hours and that’s when I started to upload fewer photos onto here.
These past 2 years have been difficult for me; I lost all of my hobbies and I couldn't keep up with friends so I lost them too... I've been dealing with a lot of mental

I've read all your words. I wish you well and I do hope you have a lot of happiness on your birthday. All your friends on DA will still be here when you are able to come back. I don't think I'd ever be able to leave DA either, even though I've had a few "breaks". Great to know you have such good support "irl" too!
