To be honest, I think Lapis could beat any of the gems if she wanted to. I mean she can make fucking water doppelgangers of anyone, she can fly, she can crush your face with water, I mean why didn't she just Jasper when she had the chance?
The thing is she's useless if she's somewhere with no water.

She definitely seems to have been more powerful than Jasper, but I have a feeling that Yellow Diamond is who she was really afraid of.
She's practically Poseidon.
If there is someone out there in the gem universe that is stronger than Lapis, then Crystal Gems are absolutely fucked.
