Today I will feature a Volks kit given to me by my friend Charles, whom I acquire a lot of model kits from. I think this Rodan is really cute! But the movie scene was rather scary when I first saw it as a kid. I made the egg by painting the inside of a capsule toy container with Durham's Water Putty and coaxing it out later with some difficulty, then painting it. I made the base out of foam and the guy is a soldier I carved up a bit and repainted to look like the guy in the scene. Here are some screen shots I used for reference:

The Volks model was just 3 pieces and is an old kit from the 80's and quite hard to find now. He is pretty cute, right?
