Rain tree

An installation about non-serious seriousness.

Five pairs of rubber boots are like five drops of color sprouting into miniature trees, each of which seems to capture a different emotion of the palette. The landscape here is conditional - the fabric underfoot and the gradient wall create a decorative space where nature is dressed up in toy shapes and shoes in pots. It's ironic, it's joyful, it's a bit "Alice in Surrealist Land".

Perhaps we are all sprouts that have taken root in the strangest of vessels. The main thing is to have something to reach up from.
