Quiet Honor

Honor is not a uniform or a medal on a lapel. It does not shout or demand applause. It is an inner light that remains even when there are only shadows around. Honor is being whole when the temptation to fall apart seems easier.

As for the “halo” — let it be. Not to elevate oneself, but simply to remind oneself that being true to oneself is sometimes much more difficult than appearing to be a hero to others.
