Commission : Headhunter Rengar, League of Legends by emilySculpts Commission : Headhunter Rengar, League of Legends by emilySculpts
Please note, this piece was a commission and is not for sale. While I do take commissions (see below), I do not remake pieces that I have already made. Thank you for your understanding.

About : This has definitely been one of my most ambitious pieces yet. This was completely out of my comfort zone, and I learned so much with this piece. This was done for the same client that commissioned the Kog’Maw piece I did a while back.

The armor and weapons were built up in stages. I got them as smooth as I could before baking, and then sanded them tediously. I also used an x-acto blade after baking to get crisp, sharp edges. Many of the components were sculpted and painted separately and then glued on with epoxy at the end.

I lost count of the number of layers of paint that I used. This is definitely the most complex paint job I have ever taken on. I was basically emulating a hand painted texture map.

My talented husband, Joe Coleman (~phantom42), is my photographer. He did an amazing job capturing this sculpture for me. He even did a shot to emulate the lighting that was seen in the amazing concept painting that was used as pose reference. (seen elsewhere in my gallery)

Materials : Super Sculpey, Sculpey Firm, Apoxie Sculpt, Wire and Foil Armature, Acrylic Paints, Wood base

Dimensions : 9” tall x 10" wide x 8" long, on a 7” base

Time Taken : 46 hours (6 hours pre-pro and blocking, 18 hours sculpting, 5 hours sanding, 17 hours painting)
