It's nice to see opaque tights use for colour contrast, too. i like them very much. many people seem to better like more sheer stockings much of the time. im a"dangler"(?), too with shoes, i did not even notice until it was shown to me.

I also prefer opaques over sheer ones, got to love the contrast, they are easier on the lights too, but it's true, most people go for the sheer look.
