"sweet nothing"

could madness have all the fun?
would sleep deny me?
would sadness arrange a ball?
could you oblige me...

with a whisper?
I creep in strides,
and I beckon your ghost
to haunt me,
to flaunt all that
can't be seen by
me...

i should
stand firm in the echoing hall;
you can
breeze through my vaporous veils;
i would
cede all control to the wind...

it's just like you to
cling to my skin;
it's just like you to
sting me, to pin
me in my place,
in your taste.
feed my haste;
bear my weight;
lament thy state...

with a whisper.
I creep in strides,
and I beckon your ghost
to haunt me,
to flaunt all that
can't be seen by
me
poem. song

I see the use of older language then the last 50 years or so.
nteresting and yet the poem flows well with it
I can't imagine it without.
Though I read this more of a poem then a song.
