Invincible (TF Request)
There was one thing that Teddy (Ted to his friends) Hawthorn wanted to be. It had been his dream, right from a young age and all through those years, several adults, from his parents, to his grandparents and his teachers had all gone with it, but waned in their enthusiasm the older he got. Ted had resigned to believe that it was never going to happen. The one thing that Ted had longed to be all his life, was a superhero.
He’d grown up with the comics and the movies, watching as the lycra and spandex clad heroes whizzed around saving people and stopping the bad guys. He wanted to help those who needed it and be a force for good in the world.
Right now, Ted was walking home from school, ready for an evening of reading his comics and enjoying the adventures the characters were going on. Today, there should have been a delivery of some new comics in the post. He had been eagerly awaiting their arrival and just wanted to get back. He ran the final few hundred metres, charging in through
