I first fell in love with Elfquest when Book 1 hit the shelves in 1981. I fell in love with that volume and immediately had to buy the other three. I loved the artwork, and the myriad characters that were within. As I read more and more, the characters lives unfolded and became a marvelous tale.
Years later, I had the privilege of meeting Richard Pini at a convention in Columbus, Georgia. He was marvelous to talk to, telling me about the characters and wonderful insights to each of their stories.
To this day, they hold a special place on my bookshelf.
