Thomas felt his way through his tool belt, searching for a screwdriver. The prognosis had shifted, and now he had to dive into cabinets of circuity and dust, oh so much dust. He felt it collect on the jacket he'd thrown on after leaving the ship, and whenever he yanked at something more of it would fall on him like filthy snow.
His hands found a screwdriver, but when he pulled it into view, he realized it was just a touch too big. Too small he could work with, but these screws were laid by a real bastard. There were two factors at work. For one, this was a custom job, down to the very screws Thomas was now fighting against. There was a touch of brilliance in it; the net-head already knew the electrical layout had been done by someone who knew what they were doing and did not want to skimp on parts.
