SCP-172 looks ordinary enough, doesn't he? Under his skin, though, he's a clockwork robot, far more complex than any conventional one. It can take on various different personalities (soldier, engineer, medic, parent, king, etc.) depending on what modules are installed in it. Despite being a clockwork machine, it does not need to be wound up or otherwise refurbished, and it insists that it is human despite all evidence to the contrary.
