I made this pendant from a regular Peyote triangle with a purple to light yellow gradient and bronze bead pairs. I superimposed a winged triangle with the wings pulled together in the center to form a point. I edged both pieces with gold seed beads and drop beads at the tips. For the bail I made a square with a similar gradient and folded it over to make a triangular bail. The Kumihimo braid is a simple spiral design that picks up on the bead gradient.
Felt like a nice festive piece to make, even if the colors are not traditional Christmas colors.
This is so lovely! I really like how you worked the gradient. Also, IMHO, using that simple kumihimo braid really helps to keep the pendant the focus. And I am always so happy to see beadwork get a DD! Congrats!
Not professionally, but I've collaborated with someone a few years ago on a prop that was to be used as a time-traveller's bracelet - you could open it which would activate a crystal that opened a time vortex. Sadly the project didn't get off the ground, but it was fun to try and conceptualize what they had in mind.
