Mauve Geometry by Ellygator Mauve Geometry by Ellygator
(2016), 9"x1.5", Size 11 Delica beads (dark bronze metallic DB0007, white-lined dark mauve DB1792, white-lined light mauve DB1792, opaque light mauve ab DB1505, opaque off-white ab DB1500) worked in a combination of increasing and decreasing Ndebele and Peyote stitch, connector beads (dyed landscape jasper), fireline, microfiber filling

While the triangle construction is based on the Jean Power instructions I used for one of my recent projects, the overall design of this bracelet is my own idea. I basically took a single triangle and stuffed it with microfiber cloth to give it a nice puffy 3D look, then I combined the triangles with little purple-dyed landscape jasper beads into a seamless cuff that will just slide over the wrist for a nicely substantial, but very light-weight feel.

I'm also resolved to include the SKU numbers of the beads I use in my descriptions going forward, as much for my own reference as for the benefit of anyone who wants to use a particular color scheme or gradient from one of my projects, which all of you watching beaders are more than welcome to do!

The original project that sparked this one:

Yep, it wears more easily than the one where the spikes point outwards. It's not a practical thing when heading for the office to type at a computer keyboard. This version you could actually wear and not have to take off...

Thanks! I do have them for delicas because I actually made myself a sample catalog a while ago. For seed beads, I often don't know them, but when I do I will keep adding them...

Thank you! I just love this technique. I just did a reversible blue and cream version that I still need to photograph...

Thank you! I'm going to do a few more pieces exploring the technique. It's really an ingenious concept of combining peyote and herringbone that's super versatile.
