Btw, for shots like this i recommend you the 28-70mm 2.8 lens from Nikon
It's an expensive lens, but it gives you the chance to handle light much better Btw, if my salary this month goes on as planned then i probably buy a Sigma 150mm F/2.8 EX Macro and a Sigma EM-140 Ringflash

Thanks for the tip as well, I was just using the bog standard 18-50 mm lens that comes with the camera, I haven't had the oppurutnity (a.k.a. money) to go and buy another lens yet but I am hoping to soon
