"Been wanting to participate in more conventions, but don't have much money or travel options to do so. I've spent years saying "I want to, but I can't." So sick of saying that. This time, I asked myself "I know what I can't do. What *can* I do?"
It's possible to participate in shows remotely, like with Art Shows and Con Book submissions. Been researching, reaching out to staff, and getting more details on what options are available. It's not a perfect solution, but it feels better than just saying "I can't."And that's taken up the bulk of this week's art time, but the next comic page will be posted on Saturday. Thanks for your patience, and I'll post more updates on remote convention adventures as they occur! "
Well, here is the first of remote convention adventures!
Been accepted to the Texas Furry Fiesta Art Show, and on the waitlist for another show. (If accepted, I'll post which one ~)
This means I can start preparing pieces to send for auction. The most cost-effective option would be to submit prints, but as a con attendee what I've loved most about Art Shows was seeing original, one-of-a-kind works. Because of this, I decided to try re-imagining prints into something a little more unique. Something you couldn't find as easily in a Dealer's Den.
Got to admit, I like how these turned out - and I really enjoyed making them! Looking forward trying this out with other FE pages in the future ~
