Art for Myths and Legends (TCG), 2004.

When I made this image, i found only representations with traditional cloth robes, the typical skirt, and of course the version of the stargate was a big influence.
I did a mixed version, it is not so mechanical like that movie anubis, and tried to give some focus of attention:

1- The metal shield around the hips,
2-The 3 gems bigs, colored and visible, in 2 hands and the chest,
and ambient colors (blue-green) in part by nostalgia for the game Soul Reaver.

The sky is a resource spiral that I there for the first time and liked it enough, the two obelisks provide additional stability to the composition.

I made many preliminary sketches before choosing these items.

Arte para Mitos y Leyendas, 2004.


Cuando hice esta imagen solo habian representaciones muy tradicionales, con ropas de tela, el tipico Faldellin o faldon, y por su puesto la version de stargate fue una gran influencia.
Yo hice una mezcla de ambos, ya que no es tan mecanico como el de esa pelicula, y traté de dar con algunos focos de atencion,

La proteccion metalica alrededor de las caderas,
Las 3 gemas enormes y visibles: pecho y manos,
y los colores en parte por nostalgia del juego Soul Reaver.

El cielo en espiral es un recurso que hice alli por primera vez y me gusto bastante, los dos obeliscos dan una estabilidad adicional a la composicion.

Hice muchos bocetos previos antes de escoger estos elementos.
