Although its clearly black and white, it appears as if the shades and highlights provide an illusion of colour that helps distinguish this photo a lot. Very nice.

weather you're still bitter and are never wanting to forgive or are...i need some sort of finalisation.
im a typical peace keeper, if someones not happy...im not happy.

i sometiems type before i think about what im doing.....i used to be real down on people...but its just so wrong.

Great compostition and idea. The black and white definately adds more emotion to the photograph. And the contrast is nice as well; the way it gets darker the further it goes back. Nice capture

This is a great shot, I think that there is a lot of depth to it, you can feel the stress and anxiety in the subject. Sitting back in the corner there like that on the pile of bricks and the rough hewn walls, the wringing of the hands, the expression on the face . . . these are really great details that add to the character and the depth of the shot.

this piece is really moving to me and not for the reasons you had intended.. the other day i was watching a show about haunted place in new england, and one of the places had this hidden, cramped room that was actually the interior of the actual fireplace that had been blocked off on once side, the room had been used back in the days as part of the underground railroad, harboring slaves on their way to freedom.. and in the show the room was haunted by a man, his wife, and their small child.. oddly enough this room portrayed in your picture really is similar to that small little room, and seeing your friend in their looking stressed and anxious and sort of fearfull really makes me think back to that show and what those people must have felt the night before they were to either make freedom or be captured and sent back to possibly die.. really moving piece.. the photo is clear and crisp, and your subjects face portrays his emotions so well.. great job! The world needs more shots like these!

the expressiveness in this is great...I can feel for that guy. His placement makes him seem so far away, almost like he is trying to escape the photo, sort of, but he seems trapped inside the cave. I adore all the texture you can see here too, and the contrast is simply awesome. Great piece, overall. I like this a lot.

What is a grotto cave? This looks like it could be up in the mountains. - * the-deviator

A Grotto is a stone altar. Most of them are pretty big. There is an old Spanish one. Theres a small cave and thats where we took the pic.

nice composition, great blend of color, the posing of the model gives alot of meaning to this shot, very good. only objective thing would be the outsides of the shot, to saturated and blurred, other then that great shot.!

This looks really good. The contrast in the picture really makes this stand out, and the way it gets darker as the viewer moves into the man is a nice effect. Nice shot! :)
