A wonderful representation of the calmness and balance achieved through meditation. The peacefulness radiating from the figure in the middle of it definately puts a purpose to the word equilibrium, as she seems balanced. The characters around her also help to bring the piece to terms with the Japanese ways that inspired it. The colors used also help to bring the piece to the afformentioned terms.

Good job.

although small, i really like the format of this piece, the monotone feel to it works well, making it sort of look like an old scroll.. the only part that bothers me is the girl.. she looks modern, and i think that using perhaps a model in more traditional clothing would have made this work truely beautiful.. as is, it is still a wonderful piece however... you've done a great job.. i wish it were a bit bigger so we could see the detail!

another creative piece. i really like the texture of the background, however the model sticks out a lil too much. Im trying to figure out why and ive come to the conclusion that the dark colors which make her image up have no grain to them, so none of the background texture shows through. I think maybe just a little transperancy could have solved this. Other then that, this is pretty cool.

Very nicely done. The texture running into the model certainly helps to tie her into the piece, too often photomanipulations are shoddy because the extra time wasn't taken to make the piece flow, which this indeed does. I love the expression in her eyes, she's got the warrior glance. I enjoy the kanji but I'm curious as to whether it has meaning or is it merely an artistic touch? You've brought a unique concept to life, very well done.

Oh very nice, very nice indeed. The only thing I don't like about this is the typography at the top, I don't feel it works with the rest of the piece.

Your choice of model is great, the eyes are my favourite part.

Gah! This piece is superb, nothing major to critique aside from the typography.

Im interested in the way this piece is arranged. Not too sharp on the concept.. if it was to be in a samarai kind of.. thing.. shouldt the model look somewhat.. O.o samarai-ish? Idk if that makes sence.. or not. Anyway, the grungy-ness is working. Diggin' the colours. Great job on that :)

This is a really pretty shot. I like how the girl looks so serene, and the grainy earth tones really work well with the image. It looks very much lerilke aged parchment, and the girl doesn't at all seem obtrusive in this image at all. Good balance and sense of tranquility as well. Good work!
