Description
In Chobe national park in Botswana, Molly McGee, Ollie Chen, Dumbo, and Horton have encountered a herd of African Bush Elephants near a waterhole. While Molly, Ollie, and Dumbo interact with the calves, Horton shows the cows the spec that contains whoville. And like Horton, African elephants have a great sense of hearing. Being able to hear frequencies as low as 14 to 16 hertz. This ability allows Elephants to communicate over long distances, even in dense forest or grassland where visibility is limited. On top of hearing, African elephant's big ears help them reduce body heat. Flapping them creates air currents and exposes the ears' inner sides where large blood vessels increase heat loss during hot weather.
