I'm a graphic designer, class 1986, living in Verona, Italy. I love painting in digital and traditional.
I started with traditional art (pencils, watercolours, acrylics) and landed very soon on digital art (classic photoshop+Wacom tablet, sometimes smartphone + pen).
I graduated in Natural Sciences, but thanks to a passion that did not need studies, I started to work as a graphic designer since 2010. I deal with billboards, advertising, publications, and so on — some illustration.
For passion I play some musical instruments (Celtic harp, clarinet, piano and traverso), I pyrograph wood and read a lot of fantasy books.
But drawing freely, as a hobby, is my inner and more profound passion. Drawing I find peace, I find myself, I cradle my creativity.
Traditional art is nearer to my heart, for my creativity better shows with pencils, from hands to reality. Something you can touch is unique.
Digital art is like "freedom" because you leave behind the real world, the limitations of the matter, of your eyesight, of your physical limit, to enter in a new place, where "magic" allows you to create new things. The painting becomes an unembodied idea. Digital art is also loneliness because few people love digital pieces, for they lack the fascinating "touch" of material. I use Photoshop and a Wacom Intuos tablet, or a Smartphone with a grip pen and Artflow app.
You are welcome! The Dragonlance is one of my favorite book series and I like very much your artworks with Raistlin Majere (he is one of my favorite characters) and Dalamar Nightson !
