Pixie decides to be in a Film

Pixie is an awesome character, isn't she? So are Jubilee, Dazzler, Polaris and X-23. So why don't we get to see them in any X-Men films???

Figured it'd make a fun bit of comedy. And I know Stan Lee isn't involved with the day to day stuff at Marvel, but I wanted someone that would be iconic to fans that maybe don't know a lot about the politics behind the stories.

Characters belong to Marvel, except for Stan, who belongs to himself.

didn't jubilee have some cameos in the X-Men movies, pretty sure it was at least the first two

She is in a few shots in the first movie, but they cut all the scenes where she speaks or her identity is stated.

In X2 she was mentioned by name. Remember that scene where Storm and Nightcrawler were rescuing those kids, she called her by name, though that may have been an alternate cut I watched.

I'm fairly certain that was an alternate cut, although I could be wrong. I know there are deleted scenes that clarify her identity, but I'm pretty certain none of them made their way into the theatrically released films.

Well , I guess that my view on Jubilee is ... rather particuliar , I let you judge by yourself [link] This is mostly where she appears in my profile...

Personally I pretend that the Jubilee is now a vampire never happen or anything that followed white day for that matter..And I i hate Jubilee vampire if for no other reason than she seems to be a sad attempt to draw in twilight fans and by the way Disney now owns MARVEL!

Have you actually read the vampire arc? It was actually surprisingly well executed and I know long-time Jubilee fans who hate Twilight but really loved how Marvel wrote the vampires.

It's just that juubes don't fit the vampire look/whatever applys even though I will admit that I like Marvel's vampires better than twilight's and as for reading the arc..I read enough to know most of the details and the details suck..No pun intended..What's more they done nothing to to really use her new vampire status at all and yet to see how it's supposed to return her mutant powers like marvel promised and what's more the vampire arc was supposed to be bigger and yet to see more.

Hmmm, I thought it was pretty big... there was the main Curse of the Mutants arc, then the side stories with all the X-Men fighting different vampires (great stuff for Gambit, Storm, Dazzler, etc), then the Jubilee/Wolverine mini-series, then their visit to the pages of X-23 and the awesome Laura/Jubes friendship, and finally Jubes became a main team player on Storm's team.
tokyofox200's avatar
It was supposed to last longer and there was even rumors of some of the X-men going vampire..As for the Laura/Jubilee friendship..Seems to be the case but for some reason MARVEL made her part of Scott's team at the last second much to the complaining Jubilee fans dismay.

Ah Marvel, it can never make everyone happy at the same time, can it now?
tokyofox200's avatar
Yeah; Lately it seems Marvel is trying to say that they don't care about things like stories that follow the story timeline or anything that looks like they are even trying to follow their own story ideas.. And Jubilee's messed upped life is but one exsample of that.
Elenatintil's avatar
Well it depends on the story and fan perspective. I actually like what they've done with Jubilee... not so happy with Scott's recent attitudes, the "all hail Hope Summers, most amazing girl ever!" thing or the fact that Wolverine is on every single team ever.

That's -fantastic-! Okay, you totally need to start making these on a more regular basis. Well, at least IMO.
Elenatintil's avatar
Ha! Thank you! :) I intend to, but hope I can replenish my marker supply soon as I'm running out of some essential colors.
CarpeGuitarrem's avatar
Oooooh. Well, if that becomes a problem, you could always mess around with digital coloring.

Eugh my wacom pencil is missing, which is why I've been doing markers instead of digital. Most annoying, but markers are rather fun.

Well, Jubilee had cameos in the three X-Men movies, and a leading role in Generation X.
Elenatintil's avatar
She did have a couple brief shots in the first movie, although any scenes with lines were removed, thus leaving her really as only an easter egg for fans.

As for Generation X... I'm trying to pretend that never existed.
BelovedFanboy's avatar
Tastes differ. I'm trying to pretend pretty much everything Marvel-related since the 90's never existed... except for Spectacular Spiderman. I loved that cartoon.

Ah, and see I loved the TV show "Wolverine and the X-Men" and "Evolutions" plus of course most of the comics. ;)
