Chrono Trigger was developed by Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995. In this scene Crono, Lucca, and Frog are about to take on Magus.

This piece took roughly 50 hours to complete. I worked at a resolution of 12800 x 7200.

The character sizes are larger than the sprites so you can see the details better. I also took liberties on the statue and seal as high resolution official artwork could not be found.

Magus might get his ass handed to him but what sucks a gate portal opens up. The question is where the hell did Magus end up at???

Super awesome artwork from an extremely overrated game. Looks awesome, though.

All my this.  Thank you for doing this. Lavos doesn't stand a chance.

It's games like CT and Secret of Mana, and Star Fox that made up my childhood. Keep up the great work. :D

Woah! When I saw you drawing the characters I thought "hey, not everything is made of patching photos, after all" then you started to paste an actor's face on Magus. :lmao:
Impressive work, once more.

You probably get a lot of suggestions already, but if you're up for some heavy-creature stuff and less scenery, Kefka Tower has been remade for new consoles and it's still pretty flat. You could bring it up to eleven.
This page has the original and remaster versions on the end gallery: finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/St…

Doing this has actually crossed my mind a few times. It would be an epic project, but probably no larger than my FF4 map. To do it justice though I should allot 150-200 hours. I wish I had a lot more time :(

I love this game, it's my ultimate favorite (besides The Legend of Zelda series, of course!) and this piece is amazing :o

I was born just a few years too late to play the original of this game, but I have the "updated" version. Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite games, and is the subject of a number of 3d scenes I have sitting around. Nice work!

Side note: I don't actually think I used this party configuration to fight Magus. I almost always had Lucca, Marle, and Crono doing everything together.

Thanks. I used the combo from the Tool Assisted Speedrun record.
