In my art I use a variety of media including acrylics, oils and ink. From more traditional landscapes to contemporary paintings inspired by Neo-Expressionism, I like to create all kinds of art. Recently I have moved away from large oil canvases and back to smaller drawn or illustrated work. My current area of interest is dark landscapes and psychogeography plays an important role in my work. I am investigating how our surrounding environment absorbs and reflects the traumatic events such as murders and crime.
As a passionate film photographer, I use a range of cameras from an Ensign box camera (circa 1928) to a Diana F+ 120 film to a Canon EOS 3000. At present I am also building pinholes and designing other more elaborate cameras to experiment with and I have gotten some interesting results so far. I likes to take photos of lots of different subjects and enjoy capturing images that feel nostalgic or mysterious.
