This shot is from August, and is taken 3 days after I got my fancy 50mm f/1.8 II lens, and this is my first submitted picture taken with this lens.

It's the first in a series of images I'm very proud of; a series of images taken of Acer Palmatum leaves. The large aperture makes the background very blurred and gives a sense of depth that makes the leafs in focus seem like waves in a huge red sea.

Wonderful DoF. The colors are just wonderful, I adore Autumn for the leaves and brilliant colors that come with the season. The 50mm f/1.8 II is a killer lens, lots of fun to use. (:

Very interesting shot. It almost looks quite abstract like and has a really nice flow to it. Indeed, the title fits the deviation well because it's a lot like waves. A very warm, inviting and autumn mood to it as well.
