Boy yall really cut it up..! I'm sorry I didn't provide a work of opposing caliber - I know how disappointing it can be to put forward a great effort and be met with resistance in name only. If I can only offer honesty as meager recompense- I was impressed and flattered me that both of you understood the key points of my character and how they express themselves in story. I know that's what we all endeavor to do in these things, but dang if y'all didn't actually plunge two grasping hands right into it.The closeups, the gesture, the understanding of personality - you all knew how Salt functions to an audience and wove a story for her as much as for your own characters. To the point that you wrote what was actually my first draft - and to the degree that I learned something about myself and my storytelling priorities through contrast to your stellar efforts.

I'm really grateful for the spirit you two put in, whether that effort was on behalf of myself, yourselves, or your own senses of competitive spirit. It's sort of a common concept that authors are also their own first audience - that we create most authentically when we write stories, because they're stories that we want to read. You wrote a story that I couldn't, this time. I would've said something different, used different words, but that is my character in motion - I recognize her. This is a story with Salt in it - and thank you for spending the time and effort to make that happen.

Oh man, dude, I'm gonna cry! Your comment is so sweet and heart-warming-- and it's such a HUGE honor to know we did your character justice! ;__; That was our priority first and foremost through this, even if it meant Salt didn't get the amount of screen time that we really wanted. We just hoped that the screen time that she DID get was on par and worthwhile!

Seriously, I can't put into words how much it means to us to know you liked our round and take on your badass character! Thank you so much for making Salt and taking the time to read our take on her! ;__;
