Check out OpenIndiana download the 151a8 SOlaris server edition using the illumos kernel base on OS/NET UNIX SRV4 i have that on my asus m2a-vm my old home server its only a dualcore with 8gb ddr2 ram with nvidia graphics .. but openindiana doesn't have fluxbox i just install some gcc-dev and ss-dev (solaris sudio) packages using the Solaris package manager .. u can use SVR4 package manager yeah gotta love free unix .... i complied Fluxbox 1.3.5 easyly about 5 mins tops if that and she working good with solaris base its basicly the continued of OpenSolaris and 151a8 is pretty good dude if u have nvidia graphics u have solaris nvidia drivers which is nice because u can get all the power of ur gpu but only nvidia , same with freebsd... but freebsd works good with my AMD Radeon Gpu.
Sorry for these long messages .. its just i been working alot and i miss my computer and UNIX systems..
have a good one mate!
Ha, ha, it's cool man. There is so much to do and learn. I'm not as advanced as you are but I am having so much fun! I haven't had a chance to get your distro up and running yet. I tried it in Virtualbox but I couldn't get it working. I will try to install it and see if I have better luck that way. I understand about working a lot. I am on my day off today but so many things to do.
yeah i kind of rush that iso i can probably redo it and make a 2.2.1 or something as it says freebsd in the menu lulz.. i do not put anything in the menu besides the fluxbox menu and exit out of fluxbox , but yeah its mainly all on key bindings. its a very simple system as i put it into a unix philosophy at work my boss key telling me to use the mouse as i use the keyboard on everything and hes like ok if u can do it all with the keyboard go for it.. lulz
i guess i am sort of a old skool computer user
oi ElderVLaCoste super nice fluxbox... i love it... but i'm more keeping it simple but VERY NICE work... happy fluxboxing dude ... the only window manager i use .. on freebsd, solaris and also Linux and yeah i have all 3 os install on all 3 seperate hdd one on one pc asus m2a-vm and i have linux and freebsd 9.2 on my acer aspire m3420 oh yeah the power i have and ultimate geeking out... i love computers its my life man.. keep up the good work dude..
yeah i guess i am just a unix hobbyist... i just setup archbang well i had a hard time to to setup arch linux with uefi so i use archbang installer as it is archlinux and also archbang is develope by canadians so that is kind of neat.. um i just deleted slim and openbox and setup my own arch system by reconfiguring it and now using my fluxbox config.. if u check my lastest screenshot .. their is a new one with my arch system.
have a nice day off dude
