The honey bee (Apis mellifera) is sitting on my finger 🐝. It was a cool, rainy day, and I noticed a bee sitting on the sidewalk. She willingly climbed on my finger to keep warm.
When the insect's body temperature drops below some individual limit, the pectoral muscles lose the ability to move quickly and efficiently, and the insect temporarily fails to fly.
As we came home, we fed the bee sugar water. It warmed up on my hand, posed for pictures, and when the sun came out a few times, the little bee was already ready to fly.
After brushing her antennae, she suddenly took off right from the tip of my finger and flew away. Just imagine these tiny girls produce honey and many valuable and beneficial products. Aren't they amazing? ❤️ ❤️

I love bees. They land on me and sting! But I love them. (I guess they are like women that way.)
