Theres a very definite chill to the air around here, and thats not just because its October, everywhere I look the leaves are turning beautiful shades of red, gold and orange; and in the dark, creatures stir in the night!

Daily Deviations
Recently I've seen some really thoughtless comments being left on DDs, regardless of them being from stock and resources, or from any other gallery. Since Spirit Day is about encouraging tolerance, understanding and respect I want to remind people that being respectful to your fellow artists, even if you REALLY don't like their style or artwork, is absolutely vital!!!
I know a lot of you are passionate about art and about stock and resources, however I want to point out, that some people troll because they want to make drama and crap. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T RESPOND TO THEM! All you do is make things worse and leave the artist receiving the DD with an absolute disaster zone on what should be a celebration of their art for 24 hours. Its not only distressing for the artist to find conversations like what I have seen on their art, but also, they are probably quite capable of responding to any comments left on their art themselves without additional help from you, and worst case scenario they can block or hide unwanted comments - thats what the tool is there for!
As for artists disliking the work that is chosen, again, I remind you all that its a feature for 24 hours, and if you don't like it there are usually 40+ other pieces of art being featured at the same time which you should go and look at. Or try broadening your artistic perspective... the choice is yours!
On a personal note; every DD I feature from the stock and resources community is featured for a reason, be that pose, costume, attention to details, in depth knowledge of the subject in tutorials etc etc etc. The list goes on, and isn't something I could write down to cover every possible reason why I might choose to feature a piece on any given day!
I get a lot of complaints from people who clearly don't understand what stock and resources are, but you know, thats not the fault of the piece being featured, furthermore, I genuinely do not believe that every single DD has to be "justified" in some way, stock most often speaks for itself, though I do occasionally add descriptions when I get suggestions, or when I want to add a bit more about the work. PLEASE!! Don't ever think that if you get a DD from me, and I DON'T write a description that its a bad thing! It simply means I think your work speaks for itself and doesn't need me being additionally verbal in the description!!!

Everyday we're CV'ingAs a Community Volunteer - I do as much or as little within the community that I feel comfortable doing. We're not pressured to do this and that, we don't even have to give a Daily Deviation every day, we choose how we promote our selected galleries/chats and forums and we're not fixed to any specific rule on how much or how little we do. But I do believe that it's important to share with you just what the community volunteers do and why we do it.
