One thing to remember with my skins.
BOTH MOUSE BUTTONS HAVE THEIR USE.
~Right-click = 'open'
~Left-click = ''close' or 'select'
:: The exception is the music player.
Stealthy (music player)
Scroll Up: Forwards the song
Scroll Down: Rewinds the song
L-Click: Next Song
R-Click: Prev Song
Wheel-Click = Opens/Closes ProgressBar Skin
R-Click: Open Music Player
Wheel-Click: Refresh Skin
Scroll Up: Volume Up
Scroll Down: Volume Down
L-Click: Volume Up +10
R-Click: Volume Down -10
Wheel-Click: Mute Music Player
OPTION-TAG (The thing that pops up below the BTM-BAR):
L-Click: Opens Settings Skin
R-Click: Opens Skin Menu--> Look for "Custom skin actions" and choose you music player.
You can choose your music player either through "Custom skin actions" OR
typing it in the Settings Skin. You should do that beforehand,
So you can use the Stealthy(musicplayer) skin to open your music player by R-clicking the MID-BAR.
All in all, JUST PLAY WITH THE SKINS.
Over time you'll realize why I've set things to the way they are.
Or you could comment here if you think it should be some other way.
Few touch-ups, new preview pic.
P.S. I used my new separate Image File Viewer skin in this preview:
It's kind of a let-down since I take lots of notes.
Otherwise this Skin is a main part of my current Desktop setup, Loving it.
look for [!Zpos 1], and delete it.
I realize that it may be troublesome to people who do stuff in fullscreen...
Don't worry though, I have a quick fix that hides the suite temporarily in my upcoming update to the suite...
So you can look forward to that!
Thank you for your support!
Only one thing I'd like to know because I'm a rainmeter coding newbie:
- How can I enable the "Appli" part of the skin to be dragged anywhere?
This is the only thing that really bother me, because I've got few others skin on the screen already and I'd like to move it near another skin!
The reason I put it at the sides of the screen is for ease, you know, like the corners for W8.
I can only sort of seeing it be harder to use if it's not at the sides TBH...
You can drag it up and down though.
But if you still wish to drag it somewhere,
there should be a meter called [border] in there somewhere, delete it.
But as a rainmeter code newbie, it's rather difficult.
I tried a looooot of things, searching on Google, modifying code, but no way.
The only [border] I found was in Stealthy.ini, removing it changes nothing.
(btw deleting a meter of another skin doesn't affect the skin you're focusing on.)
Ok, go to Appli's Skin file, and if I remember how I coded it correctly,
change all of the "#ScreenAreaWidth#'s into 300.
That SHOULD be able to fix it.
Very nice skin, but I have some issues with dual monits, I hope you can help me out: puu .sh/5cbae.jpg (player + notes are prefectly hidden, but not applications)
Another screenshot: puu .sh/5cbdt.jpg (player + notes are on the second monitor and application on the first)
(couldn't post the screenshots properly)
and not the middle if you're using dual/multiple monitors. It just makes the skins hard to use and a bad experience.
The thing with how I coded in this version is that the tab moves.
Meaning the left side skins do move and have a bit sticking out, but since meters are cropped if "X" is a negative number,
that's why it looks like the left side skins are hidden.
I realize that since you have 2 monitors it must be hard to get the mouse from one side of the monitor to the opposing side of the other monitor.
My most recent version "Vanilla" of Stealthy will solve this.
It'll give you 2 versions of each skin, one for left side, one for right.
I'm almost done with Vanilla, I just need to take some beta tests with people and it'll be released.
So for now, sit tight!
but now that you mention it, I'm doing that right now
As for the side, um, so far with the version of my skin you have, no.
But I'm planning on updating it with all skins having Left and Right
As for the output, (if you're using a desktop mouse this will be easier)
you can click the skin using the wheel button (I call it the middle-button),
The skin menu should open up (if it doesn't...oops..lol, try right-clicking on the mute side of the skin.)
Underneath "Stealthy\Sound" look for "Sound Settings" on the menu, click on that and voila!
I'll update pretty soon, so stay tuned!
For the MediaMonkey thing, just click on the little "Option-Tag".
It'll open up a settings skin, type in "MediaMonkey", press enter and the MusicPlayer skin should refresh itself, and voila.
You can right-click the white parts of the progress bar, which'll open the SkinMenu,
Go down to "Settings" and uncheck "Keep on Screen" and if you want, uncheck "Snap to Edges" as well.
That'll let you drag it.
As for your idea, I think that's great!
I was skeptic about a date/time skin at first because you can see time and date from your windows taskbar,
but a calendar/events idea would change that.
I'll try to come up with a way to make it helpful/productive. (<- the main objective of the suite btw.)
I'm also making a skin with [Wifi, CPU, RAM, Battery], (which is mainly for laptop users),
I'm just a little unsure whether users would want it to be a "click-show" like Appli, or a "hover-show" like the music player.
So I'm just asking people what they would want. What do you think?
Progress on "Black Coffee" are good, as well as for "Vanilla" (Vanilla is Stealthy2).
Will update/post soon.
It was such a pain, lol. But I'm proud of the result.
As for the Stat(Wifi\CPU\Ram\Battery) skin, I got that finished as well, as well as some others.
I changed the interaction.
Where you would Right-Click to expand skins in "Black Coffee", you would Left-Click for "Vanilla".
As Right-click will open something, depending on what skin it is.
This is taking into consideration for laptop users.
Everything's done now except for a preview picture explaining the skin!
So Vanilla (Stealthy 2) should be up in a few days if all goes well.
Tell your RM friends!
I think people are going to like the gmail skin I'm working on right now for "Stealthy Suite Vanilla"
(Which is basically Stealthy 2 lol)
I'm still unsure what else I want to show with Stealthy Vanilla, so far only Gmail and Computer stats, I'm hoping people would give me ideas lol
I do plan on working on a second note skin, which would be using the FileView Plugin in a rather cool way.
(Gosh I'm loving FileView, so much you can do with it. Although quite tedious to set up lol)
In the meantime, go into the "~resources" folder of "Stealthy", look for "Variables.inc"
open the text file, go down to "Applicol=".
But you can go online to look up the code for cyan.
I think the hex code for cyan should be "00FFFF", try it out!
You can also change the colours of other skins but... I'd be careful, cuz I wasn't too organized with it all lol.
I'd suggest if you're new to it, play around with it, and wait till I come with an update that has a settings window that lets you mess around you colours.
Thank you so much!
There's more to come, if anyone uses a laptop, the "Stat" skin I'm working on may be helpful!
Stat: Gmail Notifs (Sender/EmailTitle) ; Battery (UpTime included) ; Wifi (Network name etc.) ; Weather lol
Wall of preview...?, thanks in advance...
The wall I got from Wallbase.cc, search "wood", and it should be there!
it's amazing how you achieved complete concealment
