My inspiration came from all the initiatives that have emerged here in the Netherlands to hang posters, drawings or teddybears in the window to express admiration, to give heart and support, to help each other through this crisis.
Even though you can't to go outside you can still express yourself in this simple manner, even though it's from a distance.
Take care of yourselves, stay safe and healthy!
So, is this the 'official support initiative' in the Netherlands? In Spain, people go out to the window at 8pm to dedicate a round of applause to (supposedly) doctors, nurses and people from the health sector in general. But after almost two months i think people doesn't even remember why they did it in the first place...
It's not the only one in the Netherlands, but it's the one that suited my idea very well.
I like the round of applause, but it's typical isn't it?: when something becomes a habit we sometimes forget the actual meaning behind it. But it's still a very heartwarming gesture.
When cats start to urinate outside of their box then there's definitely something very wrong: it could be stress or some other ailment. Not so long ago our Tora suffered from an acute urinary infection, to the point that she actually squeezed out blood. She's fine now but she also started with peeing in all the wrong places. Have you been to the vet (or is that not possible)?
Good luck and hang in there!
