jellyfish are toxic as well as mushrooms..

oh yes - plenty of them (not these, of course) in the Baltic and the North Sea. there is a red variety which is enormous [link]

I used to work on a commercial fishing boat..we would sometimes catch jellyfish with the fish..and when they were all mixed together, the fish would be flipping around..putting up a spray...and this spray would sting bare skin.

Watched an interesting report recently about a young marine biologist who sort of dedicates her life to jelly fish. She reported that they even sting THROUGH her wet suit when she is doing her scuba diving ting about counting and observing ...

I wonder how? Maybe a wetsuit allows some molecules to pass through..so it can breath.
