Teapot by EilonwySedai Teapot by EilonwySedai
Bamboo handle is held up with fishing wire for purposes of photography. It does not stand upright on it's own. This teapot is wheel thrown vessel. I'm very proud of it.

Awesome design. I think you should definitely find a way to make the bamboo handle part of it!!!

You have every right to be proud. Teapots, I am told, are the hardest item to throw in ceramics. Although they are easy to throw if you are angry at someone...
Anyhow, the colour is striking and I love the inclusion of a bamboo handle. My only observation is that the handle may be slightly too large for the vessel.
If you have a Chinese market or housewares store near you, they can and do sell handles like this in different sizes.
All in all great work! I love teapots and this caught my eye straightaway.

Thanks! So far, that's the only handle I've been able to find. I've always had it in the back of my mind to pick up a smaller one if I come across it. :D

As well you should be! That's a great glaze, what kind is it? I love how natural it looks.

It's actually a thin layer of a commericial glaze with blue crystals...don't remember the name of it.

It's so adorable! What's the size, if you don't mind my asking. It's looks small, cute as a button.

I don't mind at all. It's not here with me, but I'm pretty sure it's around 4" in diameter. It's pretty small.
