Used Sparkle and Blend Poffin Here!
Another one in the series of "Old pokémon getting makeovers"! I've wanted to add Shiny to Lora for such a long time even if I loved the blue-to-pink gradients on her. :') Also wanted her to look more ~*Magical*~ !
Mod note: Same art as the original ref, just recolored! No need for Caps!

History
(Copy-pasted from the old ref with small edits. Wanted to match it to Lora's new design and get rid of some major head-hopping, lol.)
Lora may look scary and would take that as a compliment most of the time, but she is really a kind soul. She may have a dark sense of humor and all that, but she would never hurt anyone. I think... Probably not at least. Now, there probably are things she is capable of doing that I probably would rather not know about so I shall just focus on the good things! She also is the first Pokémon I've ever met that was able to communicate in human language, even if only via telepathy. It's so nice to have someone who can reply back in words I can understand.
"Brown body, large spiked horns... You must be Colin?"
The sudden feminine voice echoing inside Colin's head nearly made him jump out of his exoskeleton. He hadn't heard any footsteps so he hadn't bothered standing up to check his surroundings. He was much too thirsty to think about anything other than suckling out the water from this nearly-dried-up little desert pond. "Yes..?" Colin uttered in a quiet tone as he pushed himself up so he could actually look the stranger in the eye, "Wait, did you see Oliver? Or did May send you?" Colin jumped up from the ground and faced the stranger head-on. He looked her up and down, realizing soon what he was talking to; A ghost.
"May? Or Mary? I have not seen Mary yet, no. But yes, I did find your friend, Oliver. He was very worried about you. I see you were doing quite fine in terms of survival." Her voice was hollow and her eyes narrowed as she looked over the small desert pond Colin had found. "Well, I'm sure you two are just dying to see each other again." The ghost giggled and gestured for Colin to follow.
Something about this stranger didn't seem right to Colin. Maybe it was the Ghost typing oozing off of every inch of her being, maybe it was the fact she was a bird and those often tried to sweet-talk a large insect like Colin into trusting them. Like those vultures earlier had.
"You... You're speaking inside my head? How can I be sure you didn't just read my mind and now try to lure me into some sort of trap." Colin regarded the stranger with the level of suspicion he felt she deserved which again caused the ghost to stare back at him with a look that was borderline offended.
"Really... You're both going to give me this treatment, huh." The ghost rolled her eyes, "I have no desire to stand out in the sunlight for too long. Either you come willingly, or I'll make you come willingly. Which is it?"
Colin leaned back in surprise. He had no idea what she... What she... Why did he ever doubt her again? She seems so kind and caring and just overall... wonderful. Her voice is so soothing and he just wants to rest his head onto her ghostly lap. Ah, the way her dress fluttered in the wind as she led him to... to...
---
"Here's your precious friend. He was a bit harder to bring along but we witches have our ways~." the hollow but feminine voice rang inside Oliver's mind again, causing him to jolt up to sit on his bed again. It really was Colin! Probably? Most likely! Oliver had never seen another Pokémon like Colin before so... yes, probably.
Colin was dazed as he stood next to some sort of large, bird-like Pokémon with glowing, starry wings but he snapped out of it when he heard Oliver's voice call his name.
Oliver staggered out of his bed and knelt down to hug his friend. "You seem tired-. Do you feel okay? Do you need water?" Oliver immediately fussed over his friend who seemed more confused than anything else but slowly realized Oliver was alive and safe.
"He's fine." the woman's voice rang inside Oliver's head again and he looked around in hopes of seeing whoever was talking. "He had found a tiny puddle in the desert and was more worried about you than himself. It was quite adorable, really." the voice chimed a laugh and the bird-like Pokémon made a gesture that resembled giggling.
Oliver stared at the ghostly bird for a moment. "Wait-. you are the one talking?"
"Yes?" the voice replied and the bird blinked in surprise.
Oliver stared at the bird and the excitement slowly faded off his face.
"You seem disappointed." the voice mused coldly.
"Oh-. I did not mean-. Sorry, I just thought..." Oliver rubbed his neck awkwardly. "I thought you were a human. I mean-. Nothing personal, I just haven't seen a friendly human since I left home. It is still nice to hear human speech so..." The way Oliver's voice stammered and trailed off earned him a pitying look from the bird.
"If it's people you're looking for, the nearest settlement is quite far away. We don't really see humans around this part of the desert." the voice said calmly while tapping her beak in thought.
"Wait, you know where we could find other people?" Oliver stood up and had to hold himself back not to get closer to the bird.
"Er, yes? It's a long path to travel, though. Much longer than you two could make without help. There are no ponds or oases between here and there."
"So... you're saying..."
"Mortals can't make that trip. Maybe you could go round that part of the desert, maybe, but that would take ages. Or you could go the other way but hm, that settlement is so far away it would probably take you months to get there and you would likely meet bandits before you meet anyone even remotely friendly." the voice mused but soon noted the way Olive's shoulders slumped. "Why do you want to find other people so bad anyways? You don't look like someone whom they would... Mmmm, nevermind." Oliver could guess what she was about to ask even if she caught her tongue and held herself back.
"I don't care if they would shun me or even see me as a monster and try to kill me. I just want to see them, even just once in my life. I just want to see if they truly are as beautiful as the legends say."
"... You really have come from a long way away if normal people are a legendary being to you." the voice giggled, "You know what. You got my curiosity... Thea and I will help you cross the desert. With us by your side, this will be a nice, calming stroll~."
(1,111 words = 13 Levels for Lora.)
