Well I finally got a chance to get my hands on a 4-harness loom and try it out. The place where I volunteer and make rugs has had a 4 the whole time but it's been tied up in such a way as to only function as a 2-harness. The lady in charge recently decided that since I sooooo want to learn how to work a larger loom that she'd let me re-tie the treadles to make the work properly. That proved to be rather complicated but I eventually got it done. Will post some funny pics the others took of me trapped under the loom while tieing up. First project was just a sampler to get the hang of it and try out the twill weaves but I had soooooooo much fun!! I can't wait to start the next project. We will be re-warping it with a thin cream acrylic yarn and using both the same cream yarn and an electric blue one to make either a scarf or table runner. Might also be getting my own 4-harness loom since. *crosses fingers* That is if the one my friend has found is a good price.
