Jurassic Kingdom Logo
This is the logo of my new Original world, thing-a-mabob,  Jurassic Kingdom.  It takes place on a secret island known as Isla Diablo which is 667 miles off the coast of Panama.  The island and its inhabitants is a complete and utter secret to the public, and only the top Ingen employees know about it.  It is a nature reserve for studying dinosaurs in their natural habitat, but unlike Isla Sorna, it is a lot more biome-diverse, and is also used to test and experiment new prehistoric species.

Hey, it's me.  So I decided to try something new, and that is to write movie reviews of movies I've recently seen.  I'm doing it on deviant art, because, why not?  Anyway, so I just recently seen Studio Ghibli's Ponyo (on DVD, shocker), and, it was just good.  That's it.  It does have some pretty note worthy flaws, but it's good.  One of them is that it's weird.  "Well, of course it's weird! It's supposed to be, and it's Ghibli!" says reader.  Yeah I know, I know, but what I mean is that there's no foundation.  Like, My Neighbor Totoro, for example, it sets the rules for it's weirdness pretty early on.  "There nice, innocent forest spirits who hang out with children!" like yeah, okay, that makes sense, I understand.  But Ponyo is like, "It's a little five year old fish who become a girl because she drank human blood and because she loves a boy!" like, yeah okay... I guess that makes sense. "And also she's the daughter of Liam Neeson who wears makeup in this movie and a freaking sea goddess!" uhh, sure, why not? "And the fish girl floods the entire planet, destroys the space-time continuum, and does random, unexampled, magic bullcrap for no freaking reason other then the fact that she loves a boy!" What the hell?!  The movie goes from pretty basic magical lore to freakin' nuking the entire planet in like twenty minutes.  And they either vaguely and/or briefly explain it or NOT AT ALL!  Granted I might have missed some dialogue, but I think that's unlikely.  But I will say this, (I want to sprinkle in some good stuff in the review too) Ponyo herself is literally the cutest freaking thing I have ever seen.  She is just ridiculously cute, but not in forced way.  Like, you can tell when something is trying way too hard to be cute (Minions, the bears from The Lorax, and The Boss Baby are all prime examples) but Ponyo is just naturally cute, which in my opinion makes her even cuter.  Okay, back to the bad stuff.  Most of the side characters (Sōsuke's Mom, the old ladies, random extras) and Sōsuke don't act like normal human beings a good eighty percent of the time.  Like when Sōsuke first finds Ponyo he's like, "This fish has a human head! Perfectly normal!" and his mom is like, "What a cute fish with a human head! Perfectly normal!" Like what the hell?!  Sure maybe goldfish look like that in their universe, but they NEVER say that, and they NEVER imply it except in like two lines of dialogue.  I would've freaked out if I saw Ponyo as a fish.  Not like, "OH MY GOSH, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?" more like Harry Potter and/or Percy Jackson finding out their magic.  But Sōsuke is just blank the entire time.  The lack of reaction in the characters makes them not really relatable.  The mom is cool, though.  There is a lot of instances were what someone is saying and how they're saying it completely don't match at all.  Like when Sōsuke tells some of the adults that Ponyo is magic and most of them say something like "Oh is she now? That's nice".  You would think they said it a way like they were humoring him or being sarcastic, but NOPE.  They say it like they're being genuine and serious, which makes NO SENSE.  They're adults who at first don't believe in magic, and he's a kid who does. It just doesn't make sense.  There's a lot of other examples, but I don't remember them all, so yeah.  I know I have just been listing all the bad stuff, so you might think I don't like this movie, but that's not true.  I just mainly list the bad stuff, because I know that's really the only thing people care about.  I love the mom and Liam Neeson's character, they're both great in my opinion, but their is one big plot hole with Liam's character (named Fujimoto, fyi). Halfway through the movie, he's like "I WILL DESTROY HUMANITY, PULL A TEAM AQUA, AND NOT SUPPORT MY DAUGHTER AT ALL!" but then his wife(?) shows up and says, "No you won't" and he responds like "Ugh, fine..".  Like the movie tries to make him the villain and then does not do anything with him!  It's like making this really good cake, and being like, "This is a good cake, I'm gonna put it in the cabinet and not touch it for a hundred and three minutes!  But in a hour, I'll SAY I"ll eat it, but not really".  THEN WHY DID YOU EVEN MAKE IT IF YOUR NOT GONNA USE IT!?!  Okay, sorry, that's it.  Just fyi, I watched this in English (though I guess I mentioned Mr. Neeson, so you probably guessed that).  Also last little note, it looks amazing and the world design/animation is great!  Okay, that's it.  Bye I guess!
So I was thinking about doing a web comic.  I have the basic idea, but I really don't know how to make one.  Will appreciate any help. Even though I'm pretty sure no ones seen this account yet but like whatever!
Quite new at this whole, art thing, but I hope to make some nice pieces of art.  I plan to do and draw many things, and lets just pray I'll actually improve over time.  Feel free to leave any constructive criticism when I do post something, because remember, still very new to this, and I'll be happy to get help with it.
