The Loss of the Father (Preview)The white marble of Osiris’s palace gleamed in the sunlight, the many gardens and pools filled with all manner of flora and fauna, a testament to the prestige of the pharaoh. In the unspoken opinion of the gods and the mortals who remembered through tales however, it paled in comparison unto the majesty of Ra’s corporeal dwelling. Still, the royal house shone beautifully upon the banks of the Nile which Osiris loved. The mortal guards stood proudly at their posts and the nearby city bustled with activity.
Suddenly, darkness falls over the civilization as a massive sandstorm rises from the great desert so high into the atmosphere that it appears to be a part of the clouds themselves! The wall of silt on the horizon stretches as far as immortal eyes could see in either direction as the ferocious tempest surges toward the king’s city! The Loss of the Father (preview II) Due to the prophecy that foretold a child of Geb and Nut overthrowing Ra and wrecking the balance of Ma’at, the High King forbade Nut from giving birth on any of the three hundred and sixty days of the year. The other members of the pantheon thought it unfair for the sky goddess to remain in permanent pregnancy, and Thoth decided to aid her against his Pharaoh’s wishes. The old ibis knew well that the future was not set in stone. Besides, if anything or anyone dared to overthrow the beloved sun god they would have an entire pantheon of wrathful, primal beings to answer to. Therefore Thoth, using the gambling game of Senet, won five new days from Khonsu, who also had power over the moon and wove time from moonlight. The Loss of the Father Preview III*Scene takes place right after Ra abdicates the throne to Osiris and announces that he has to leave*
The assembled gods stared at their beloved pharaoh in stunned silence. Ra met their gazes with a sad, rather defeated one of his own. Little Bastet released Hathor’s hand and ran to her father, crying as she wrapped her arms around his leg. “Da-da! Da-da don’t go!”
Ra knelt beside his youngest child, his velvety voice filled with anguish. “I have no choice, dear one.” His powerful frame trembled as he held her close.
Sutekh snarled and gripped the sides of his head as though he was going to pull his hair out. He paced, murmured, and glared at Isis with such hatred it disturbed even the elder gods. They looked to Thoth for guidance, but it was plain that the Great Scribe struggled to keep his own emotions in check. Before sense could be made of the situation, Isis’ cool voice broke through the brooding silence.

Dying SunTawa stood there and looked down on what was left of Earth. So far the only gods and goddesses that were left were the Earth deities. The sea deities had vanished by ascending or in other ways, as well as the gods and goddesses of nature. The sky/air gods and goddesses were barely hanging on since the atmosphere of Earth is evaporating. Tawa and the rest of the sun gods knew that this day would happen. The sun is going into Red Giant stage, and they did not know what to do. The archangel Uriel came to him.
“We all knew this day would come.” Uriel told him. Tawa then replied to her. “I know, it’s just… he sighed. “I thought we would have a longer time with our worshippers, or in your case, devotees.”
Tawa and the rest of the sun deities knew Uriel wasn’t technically counted as deity due to her being connected to the Abrahamic religions which was focused on monotheism. But she was prayed to as a saint by the Catholics.

Hello!

here! Let me just clarify this is the new account of WinterCabin

I am absolutely delighted to say that

has 417 Members and 470 Watchers!
I never really looked at how many people were in this community group! I am so happy to see this! It really made me smile! I am really thinking of having a small contest to celebrate this! I hope you all like this group! When I made it I NEVER thought it would ever get as many members and watchers as it has! I am thrilled!
