Gosh! Wrist pain from extensive drawing is such a pain in the... wrist. If I could have one practical super power, it would be titanium wrists & hands; completely invulnerable to wear and tear. If I could have a second super power, it'd probably be super strength... Classically, I would've preferred the power of flight, but while that is freeing, I feel like flight, teleportation, or psychokinetic abilities would make me a very lazy person. At least with strength, I'd still have to walk to the store or get up to answer the phone... except now, if anyone tries to jump me, I can just clock them into oblivion! Plus, I could easily open jars and toss cars around like frisbees! Added bonus if the super strength manifests physically as super cool muscles! Add on a leather jacket and some spikes & I'll have this cool, tough guy exterior with a thoughtful artist interior!! Aw yeah!
...whoopsie daisy, got side tracked.
Anyway, wrist pain is such an artist's Achilles heel! It's like, the more passionate and committed you are to art, the more likely it is that you're going to injure yourself or get carpal tunnel. I could be getting carpal tunnel right now and not even realize it! Or perhaps I already have realized it, but keep disregarding the signs because I want to keep drawing...? If I had it my way, I'd draw nonstop and upload every day, but alas... I suppose at times like these, it's time to resume training my off-hand. I mean, if a shark somersaults out of the sewers and bites off my dominant hand, I'll need a plan B, won't I? Ambidextrous goals!
