The way I see it, if you need to take an art appreciation course in order to appreciate a particular piece of art, then that piece of art is not worth appreciating. You can call garbage "art," but that doesn't make it worth anybody's attention.
I aim for good quality and high moral standards. I have a bit of a dark sense of humor, but I always try to maintain a level of family-friendliness in the things I produce. That means you won't find much gore, sex, or profanity in my work. Kids get enough obscenity from other entertainment sources; they really don't need to think about those things all the time, so I'm not going to encourage it.
That being said, my intended audience is not just children. My goal is to make it so that you won't be embarrassed to share my work with your friends, so it won't be sleazy, but it also hopefully won't be too juvenile either.
