I'm Not Hungry Anymore
I stay at home most of the time pacing back and forth in my humble abode, in Hawaii. It’s temperate. I like it this way.
People are quick to judge my appearance. I’m not the prettiest soul to look at yet folk insist on staring at me, maintaining eye contact. I’d feel flattered if I didn’t instil fear in those who lay their eyes on me. I cared more about what I was going to eat for the night.
So what if my nose is too big? Who cares if my jaw’s a bit wide? Is it my expressionless face? I can’t help looking like this.  You would look and feel like me too if you were poked in the eyes or punched in the neck by ignorant fools. I learned from my mistake to approach and greet strangers. I’d treat myself to some grub and forget about it. If I could catch any. My experience lingered in my mind.
Perhaps it’s because I’m a hunter? Animals enter my homeland often. There’s an abundance of food to capture in the wilderness, where I li

Interests
I love a thorough critiques on artwork, music, animation, videogame, etc. They are informative and helps improve my work, whether it be a positive or negative critique. I think they can bring the best out of you, and make your work great through continual feedback and improvement. However, I sometimes see "criticisms" that aren't helpful in the slightest. What do I mean by "criticisms?" Specifically, things such as "It's good/great/looks nice", or "it's bad/ugly."

I'm not referring to comments meant to show approval of somebody's work. What I mean is when a critic outright says they're critiquing somebody else's work, but offers no helpful input or solution.
For example: "it's good/bad but it could be better." It's vague and unhelpful (it requires you to prompt the critic to explain what they mean.)

Another critic I see are those who say rude things about your work. Not because they're trying to be helpful or constructive. It's to spite you. These are destructive criticisms. The difference between unhelpful criticisms and destructive criticisms is that, much like anybody's creation, a critic can improve their unhelpful critiques. Destructive criticism has malicious intentions and, in my opinion, isn't a critique. I'd hesitate to call those people critics.

How do you deal with unhelpful criticisms? One solution is to ask the critic to elaborate on their criticisms.
For example: "Thank you for the critique. Could you explain, in more detail, what you didn't like about the picture/music/etc, and how it could be fixed?" Most critics will gladly accept your request and elaborate. I have much respect for them.
You can even disregard the critique and ignore it if you don't find it helpful. If that person offers nothing of merit, why bother seeking their critiques for future work?
Seek out critics who are fair and, preferably, unbiased. Somebody who will tell you what the problems with your work are, and how to improve next time. Bonus points for linking helpful resources.
For example: reference sheets, video tutorials, etc.
Second opinions are great too! One critic can offer a different perspective on your work, and notice things the first critic didn't.

I am not saying critics should say only nice things about your creations; a critic can easily critique a piece of artwork based on something they aren't into, and still deliver helpful criticisms. I'm also not saying somebody can't have a negative opinion of something I made. I welcome criticisms regardless of whether they like or dislike the thing I drew. What I want to hear is...a critique! Complete honesty.

You can't please everyone. It's a harsh truth. There'll be critics who despise your work no matter how much blood, sweat and tears you pour into something, but remember: be polite when/if responding to vague criticisms. Critique the critique, ha. Also, don't disregard every critique you get--well, you could I suppose, but I wouldn't advise it, as tempting as it is to respond.

Please let me know in the comments if I've missed anything. Critique me! :D

Blender 2.8's 2D animation mode is quite fun. It's so fast and fluid to draw lines, especially on a tablet. A gripe I had was when I entered orthographic view (flat view) by pressing 5, then 1 for front view and pressed the middle mouse button to pan around the screen (like in Photoshop, GIMP, Krita, etc) the camera would exit the orthographic view and spin around the drawing, which is not helpful when solely focusing on 2D drawing. You have to hold the shift key, THEN press the middle mouse button, but this is a lot more to remember than is necessary. I talked with Paul O Caggegi on a video of his about the issue, and he told me to change some key inputs, so I did just that.

Before you do this, export your current key input configuration (E.G. Blender Keys Normal.py).

Go to  File > Preferences > Input, expand 3D View, uncheck Rotate View, click on the key input field for Pan View, then click the middle mouse. Then export the key input configuration (E.G. Blender Keys 2D Animation.py).

It works! I can now pan around like any other drawing software. This isn't recommended for animators who are using the 3D features too, unless they switch between importing their original key inputs and my suggested 2D animation inputs.

I propose that, for future iterations of Blender 2.8, that locking screen rotation for 2D panning be integrated into Blender's interface so it can be switched to by the tick of a box (perhaps in the expandable tab on the right side of the 3D view, accessed by pressing the N key).

I hope this is helpful. :)

Update: I found out you can also pan by clicking and holding on the hand icon called Move the View. If you click and drag in a direction you want to pan to, it'll move until you let go of the left mouse button.
Amnesia - Servant Grunt
Painted this Amnesia: The Dark Descent Amnesia Grunt from memory in Krita, using my new Huion Kamvas Pro 12. A truly amazing and affordable device from a Wacom competitor. :)

The Grunt doesn't look completely accurate because, as I mentioned previously, I painted it from memory. For the skin I used a chalk brush and lightly drew over the skin, pressing harder on shadowed areas. Let me know what you think. :D
