Soooooooooo before I start this description (WARNING: it's gonna be long), I wanna really thanks everyone who were on the discord channel and listened to my ideas, since I talk like TOO MUCH when I get excited with an idea.Small blurb:
In the history of "boi bumbá" (a brazilian legend, with origins in the colonial period of Brazil), a rich farmer had a bull that everyone loved, from his slaves to his daughter, the creature was beautiful, friendly and strong, one of the most beautiful bulls.
One day, the pregnant wife of one of his slaves, had a food wish, which was to eat the loved bull's tongue (it's a "normal" food here in brazil), and with fear of his future son/daughter having some kinda of mutation, he realized his fulfilled his wife's wish, and killed the loved bull to cut his tongue out, in the middle of the night.
In the morning, when the farmer found out who killed his bull, he was angry and about to kill his slave, but the poor man asked to redeem himself, and went running to the nearest indigenous tribe to ask a shaman to revive the beloved bull, and so, the shaman went to the farm and revived the bull, bringing the animal back to life, and this was celebrated by everyone in the farm for days. Everyone was happy again. My entrie:
I put Tsune as the Shaman of the history, which for me was one of the most powerfull figures in the legend, the one that brought back to life the happiness of the farm. The scene on the picture is the moment literally after the revival of the bull, which is the reason why it is so happy :'D.Full version of the history
(for the one's who are curious)
Before telling the full history, I wanna say that the "original" history of this legend isn't from my birth state, it's from the northeast side of Brazil, and this story was spread to Amazonas on the colonial period of Brazil, and when this happened, indigenous characteristics and myths where mixed together with the original legend.
and the 2 versions of the bulls are just like
"Teams" that make the festival more fun, like a competition
these 2 versions have the same history, just with different collors and different "extra" myths that are those big cars with giant "dolls"
So let me tell the history
"Once upon a time, a rich farmer had huge farm and in between the animals he had there, there was this beautiful bull who was loved by everyone that lived and worked at the farm."(editado)
"One day, the wife of one of the works from the farm got pregnant, and after some months, in the middle of the pregnancy, she had a food wish"
"She wished to eat the tongue of a bull"
"The worker was in despair, because he was affraid that his wife would lose the baby if she didn't get her wish fullfilled" (the myth that if a woman has a wish while pregnant which was not fullfiled, the baby would die or would be born with some mutation related to the wish)
"with that said, he went to the meadow where he could kill the easiest. The bull that was choosen was the loved bull from his boss, the rich farmer."
"He killed the bull, cut the tongue out and cooked for his wife"
"When the farmer and his family and workers found the bull dead the next morning, all of them were sad, crying and ask to the skies why would someone do that to the loved bull, the bull who never hurted anyone or anything"
"Regretful of his actions, the worker ran to the forest and asked to the shaman of nearest indigenous village to resurrect the bull, to bring happiness again to the farm and everyone who was there"
"The ceremony was made, and the bull came back to life, for the happiness of the family. The loved animal was so happy to be back that the farmer decided to give a party to celebrate the life of his loved bull, and everyone (inclunding the bull) danced through the night. The farm was a happy place again."
