Yeah, I'm surprised how many of you got it right with the headbutt.

Part 8: -You Are Here-
Well I'm kinda new in this fandom(I mean MLP, Doctor Who I haven't watched), noto so long ago i would laugh of somebody who would tell that I'll get into it, but despite it I really get into. And I didn't regret it at all.
The creativity of this fandom really doesn't stop to amaze me. Firstly "Si Deus Nobiscum", "Past Sins"(qith ii's sequels), "My Little Dashie"(in this case I watched movie based on fanfic), "Bride of Discord"(the same here) and story of Snowdrop... not mentioning music... and now this marvelous comic(and "Antrophology", which I'm still reading).
So much for the prelude, now I'll go to the story itself(the whole story of course, because it should be rated this way). Doing crossovers isn't an easy job, really good crossover needs to keep the rule and spirits of both(at least in this case) mixed universe... I can't tell if You keep the spirit of Doctor Who but about MLP i can say You succeded. And the very base concept of this - connecting this two popular assumptions: Lyra love humans, and Doctor Hooves is The Doctor was brilliant, as i previously mentioned in one of my previous comments. Building Lyra's relation with Doctor, since they first meet and then put they both(with Derpy of course!) into this whole adventure with Cyberpony invasion was very clever. The same as the way You introduced this whole thread of Cyberponies. That was very dramatic, they get some nice companions(like Iron Will, which become really deep in Your comic), which disappeared one by one(not mentioning lose of Lyra's best friends BonBon... and about here I'm really very happy that You don't use this stupid, but for soem reason popular assumption that they're lesbians...) keep me in tension and was one of the many reasons why after read one page i always want to read the next one.
And of course the relationship between Doctor and Derpy's family(by the way i was wondering what happened with Dinky's father) this also was one of very good thing which make the story so emotional... I remember how sorry I felt for Derpy when Doctor spend his time with Lyra and not her in anniversary of their meetings...
And I really like this scientific speeches and self-confidence of the Doctor. The moment of his conversation with the Cyber Prince was just priceless!
I also was afraid what will be with all this transformed ponies. They will stay this way forever or Doctor will find a way? I hoped so and my hope was fullfilled. In very inventive way I must say. The way You showed how Doctor figured that out was amazing. Maybe not as much as the conversation wth CyberPrince but still. And final scene with Doctor and Derpy - i really like like You builded their relationship, even if Lyra has more time with Doctor in the comic itself at it could seem that You will make them a couple instead of Doctor and Derpy, but they still stay just very close friends - splendid, it shows well how important they were to each other.
And them Doctor turned out to regenerate into pony body, seem to die again but Tardis safe him(i don't get exactly how this happened, but i don't care)... but then...
Well till this point i was very delighted and fascinated about all You done to Your history.
but You've spoiled the ending very very much.
This that Doctor change his apppearence wasn't so bad - afterall he regenerate and I'm not sure if he can't get the same shape again or if its just very unlikely, but nevertheless it's good explanation of this - when he come to the celebration and not immediately reveal himself to Derpy, and then run away from the party, and all the ponies started to forget it wasn't so bad... things still could go in good direction - he could go to his home again, perhaps have new adventures with Derpy and Lyra or just a normal stable life with his family, maybe even took Lyra to some human world with Tardis(not sure if this possible but still)... I think You know what I mean.
BUT instead of this You made him leave Derpy and Dinky. Even if he changed he would be grat father for Dinky and great husband for Derpy(again i don't know if they were married but i think they would be). But instead he leaved them alone. Even if they would forget about Cyberponies invasion(but i think he could figured out some solution... or you could(like Tardis, Tardis key?)) they wouldn't forget him, and thay would know that he is telling them the truth, when he would tell about it all.
But Lyra still was with him... that maybe wasn't so bad, but You seem to really started to replace Derpy by her since this point. Even that all wouldn't so bad if only... if only You wouldn't come with this horrible, fundamental logical error. The effect precedes the cause. That's simply logically impossible. This is the reason why I'm often very afraid when i see something with plot about time travelling(i seen only three productions in my entire life in which there was time traveling topis without logical errors... but in one that wasn't really timetravelling(in such sense like it's usually understand - I mean Return To The Past in "Code Lyoko"), one was very depatable("Time Jam"), and only the last was about real time-travel in traditional sense("SpellForce: The Order of Dawn")). It's very difficult to avoid logical errors when it comes to time travelling. It's not impossible, but in this area You failed.
Lyra get interested by Doctor, because he mentioned humans which she was interested in... because she told about them Younger herself(and why she do this? Because she remember that she was told...) by travelling in time after meeting Doctor, which she get in contatct with because she was already interested in humans.
If she wasn't interested in humans she didn't meet with Doctor and didn't travell in time to make herself interested in humans.
That's time loop which couldn't be initiated without already existing.
Time loops are(theoritically - if time travel would be possible) logically possible, but aech time loop need to be initiated. The initial iterations could be different than the next stable(and inifinitly repeating) iterations, but always events from the initial iterations remain possible(that mean could be deduced from the timeline in which already accur this stable iterations). In other words time loops could be initiated but not by oneself, there must be something different what cause them, some events from timeline in version before existance of time loop(events which after starting loop could disappeared but still are possible to deduce).
Such time loop like You created is caused by itself what is just preposterous.
It's such a pity that You ended Your story with the same mistake like hasbro in "It's about time" episode. This is the reason I substract You one and a half star for vision.
And I really thought You do something better about Lyra's interest in humans. Like this what was used in "Anthropology"(whre she could just read legends about them and find out they're true) or use the fact of existance dimensional-traveling mirror in Canterlot(this from Equestria Girls). Or... maybe make Lyra a Time Lord. I really thought that You planned something like that - Lyra is another Time Lord, which in previous form was human, but then regenerate in newborn filly(maybe even loose second heart someway, or it was somehow magically hidden), was find by some ponies and adopted(or even regenerate in... newconceived filly) of course loosing memories, but partially get them back at some point - the beginning of her interest in humans. That would be really cool solution, and this way like You did it... well let's just say, that it would be better if it wasn't explain at all.
But even with such bad, spoiled ending it still IS very good story.
And drawn perfectly! They really looks like frames from episodes! In graphic for comic nothing is better than accurate fit the orginal style of the show.
This has been an impact on my life, this feels like this has been a life changing story and it has made me cry on 3 occasions. you made one of the most intriguing story that anyone has done on Dr. Whooves. You are an isperation just like The Walking Dead, to make a story that can make someone go into story telling and writing. I have been waiting for the last chapters to come out and read them, and now that i have read the whole thing, I think I can finally come out of my shell and create a comic and make a story just like yours. If you ever want any ideas for a Dr. Whooves 2 comic, ask us, we are willing and able to help yours, and our, dreams come true.
Wow! There aren't many comics this long I have read in one sitting but this one was worth every minute! Your writing and characterization were awesome and it was fun to see your skill and drawing evolve. I'm almost sad this one is done but at the same time I'm excited to check out your profile to see what else you have in store. Keep up the great work and thanks for wonderful read! Thank you for following through with this project. One of my favorite parts was easily you delving into Iron Will's back story. His flashbacks made him a much more likable character than he was in the show. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this comic series. Aside from a few minor spelling errors(which I believe you warned about) the whole story was enjoyable.
Keep up the great work!
This was by far one of the most amazing and beautifully stunning comics/mangas I've ever read; and this doesn't just go for "Fan" comics.
First off, the character development was amazing. Unlike most comics or even books, even in really good ones, they sometimes tend to fail in giving good character development and physical emotion for the readers when it comes to a character's involvement and effect they have on stories, ESPECIALLY 'side' characters. You hugely succeeded in giving the 'side' characters such as Foresight, Con, and Iron Will backstory that gave them real, true emotion and importance, thus making their conversion, or temporary death, something readers could actually feel emotion and sorrow to.
You also succeeded in keeping true to the actual actions and thoughts of The Doctor. You kept him true to the comic, with his usual spontaneous actions and humor, yet his seriousness and sadness that he's always carried, with his usual "wherever he goes evil follows" motto that's seen in the original show.
Even if the reader was unfamiliar with either Doctor Who, My Little Pony, or both, the story still keeps intact and provides enough information that anyone can easily enjoy it.
Back to character development, I always liked how much thought you gave to the other characters. You still kept the main ones in their main classification, but yet gave through attention to all the other characters without making it seem like the mains were the only influentials.
It's also obvious how your art style has improved very well throughout the comic.
As it improved, the character's visual expression and poetic wording only added that much more emotion to the story.
The way you described and executed every thought and emotion made me really feel each character, such as Foresight, though he was temporarily seen as an antagonist, you offered so much on his true feelings that I could see every bit of why he was good yet bad, and gave him a awesome balance.
And you could see how Lyra become stronger, through physical and emotional action, and that her and Derpy became much more stronger and seemed to understand better about... just many strong things in general.
It gave off relatable feelings.
I'll be honest, I sometimes have trouble feeling the actual need to cry at sorrowful scenes when I read books or comics, but your comic gave just the right details and keys that really brought out the true emotions, that I cried. Twice.
It was also a very satisfying ending to have, but also made me sad, but happy at the same time. It wasn't a complete cliffhanger, but still kept its mystery intact.
This definitely deserves every bit of attention it gets!
It was incredibly executed well, and gave just the right feeling.
I absolutely loved it, and I'm sure many people can agree.
(The quirky humor was also a big bonus! Just like the DW and MLP ^-^)
I can only hope you dedice to watch me, to read more of my comics I'll be working on. Here's to more comics in the future!
This was an absolutely astounding comic. I am very impressed on how your drawing skills have improved over the course of this. The plot was very intriguing as well. I had meant to read this over time at my leisure, instead I procrastinated for 2 hours, because I couldn't keep my eyes away from it. Not using the Mane 6 (exept for Applejack in the very 1st panel) has made the story different and more interesting than other MLP comics I've seen in the past. Overall, I was greatly impressed by this. I can't wait to look at some of your other work!
This is for the whole of the comic, the artistry was well done for the most part, one of the scenes for Iron Will's school flash backs was off--the cutie mark was in the middle of the body instead of the flank--also some of the scenes seemed rushed for the artist.
The story however was well thought out, and while gave a definitive--well as definitive as any story with The Doctor can ever be--end it left me wanting more. It did not feel forced at all nor did it feel like it was dumbed down, I almost felt as if I was actually watching an episode of "Doctor Who"
OH MY GOD. THIS. WAS. GREAT!!! I ALMOST CRIED AT THE END OF THIS IT WAS SO GREAT! YOU NEED TO, LIKE, SEND THIS TO LAUREN FAUST AND BE LIKE, "MAKE THIS INTO A MINI SEASON FOR THE SHOW." IF SHE TRIES TO ARGUE, JUST SAY, "STICK A SCREWDRIVER IN IT AND DOOOOOO IITTTTTT." I'M DYING OF YOUR AWESOMENESS RIGHT NOW. IT'S TOO AWESOMELY DRAWN AND WRITTEN OUT THAT I'M DYING. AND REGENERATING INTO A DRAMATIC FANGIRL. -FANGIRLING INITIATE- I CAN'T TAKE HOW GREAT THE PLOT IS. IT IS ALL WELL THOUGHT OUT, AND I JUST- BLARGG. YOU'RE TECHNIQUE IS PERFECT-O!
THE ONE THING, THE ONLY THING, I DISAGREE WITH, IS.... WHERE THE FRICK IS FORESIGHT????????? HE'S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER...... -insert crying face- MAYBE ANOTHER STORY WILL TELL(I'm not asking)? Oh well.... Great job, though! I mean, SERIOUSLY GREAT JOB!!!!
The comic is, beside well drawn, a sentimental explosion. I red it from its first page and I thought "I just LOVE IT!!!". It's lovely and just amazing how the artist could do it in so little time. Its very original. The only negative aspect, by my opinion, is that in the end it sounds like "the Doctor" is more interested in Lyra than Derpy, even if some of us know that isn't true.
The comic has got a huge impact, and as I said it's so sentimental that I actually CRIED in the end. I hope the artist continues to do comics as amazing as this one, and I expect for a continuation of it.
I honestly cant describe how much I loved this comic. Like mister-games said before me, great plot, funny twists, especially in this last panel with the headbutt, the quotes, etc. This is by far the best comic I've ever read. Five out of five stars. I honestly almost cried at some points. I was up all night reading this when I should have been studying. Like I said, no words for this comic and I cant wait to read 'I'm Not Your Hero'.
Also, When I read through this comic again, I realized that your art style has greatly improved. I can't draw for crap but your comic has inspired me to try drawing. Keep up the good work!
This was an amazing comic, I don't think I'll ever find something like this again, the storyline was epic, all the quotes, the twists, it almost made me cry, it was sad and at the same time happy, the songs you suggested were really good too, When can I see you again is a music I love and you putted it just right in the ending of this comic, I never watched Doctor Who but still I understood it perfectly, thanks to you I'll start watching Doctor Who now, and you helped to make me a brony
You deserve my respect, and the respect of every other brony and whoovian of this world, I trully hope your next comics and projects are good like this one, but untill then, farewell
I thought this was a very good comic I loved how everything was planned out and set up I actually cried somtimes during the comic and I visited the comic everyday to see if you updated it not I would love it if you made another but you were probably through a lot of stress during this I also loved the progression with derpy and the doctor and the emotion through out the comic soo overall rating 12/10 I really really really enjoyed this comic and I hope to see more comic from you your a amazing artist keep it up <3
...Great, now I'm going to think about that that time loop had to start somewhere and on the other hoof, loops doesn't have beginning nor the end... ARGH MY HEAD! D:
Putting that aside... That was one of the best if no the best MLP:FiM comic I've ever read. Great use of background ponies and appearance of great OC (Talking about Foresight of course). And of course what's most important, plot itself. Now, I've read some MLP fanfics so far, but I gotta admit, there are not many stories that are written as well as yours. Also blending MLP and Doctor Who parts together. I'm not an expert on Doctor Who (Though after reading this I just have to watch it), but I think that you did blended tho universes really well.
This is one of the few comics which managed to make me cry, several times too believe it or not.
The story plot was well done and there was never a dull moment. At the start the art style was a bit poor but you soon made up for that later on. And as for impact, if bursting into tears isn't massive impact... I don't know what is.
You concept of the cyber ponies was well done and I like the Doctors new screwdriver and TARDIS, not to mention his new regeneration.
As a large doctor who fan I can say that you've done well.
((This is my first-ever-critique, so I apologize if it's not that great.))
I found his story a while back. I read the first few pages and was hooked. I didn't expect it to be so amazing! This is the first fan-fiction/comic that actually made me cry, especially when Bon-Bon was killed. It was amazing to see how much your drawing style has improved throughout the entire story. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. I've never read a story quite like this, and it's one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of reading. It's was so original. I have no words to describe how great this was, and I seriously hope you make more just like it!
I have no words for this. It's absolutely brilliant, it's funny, it's suspenseful, and the ending was amazing. I stumbled across this a while ago, and I love it! And, I must say your drawing style is great! I will definitely suggest this to my friends, Bronies or Whovians. I also love how you used Derpy and her daughter. So adorable! It was original, it was fresh, and you sprinkled in some humor. The TARDIS looks great as well. I am thoroughly impressed, sir. And I cracked up at HUMANS HAVE KIDNEYS! And a happy ending too! I love happy endings
Vision: I loved this epilouge and as always your vision was very clear.
Originality: I like the new Doctor. He is the most original O.C of the new Doctor I have seen! But I still have to knock off a half of a star because you did take charecters and plot lines from the shows that this was based off of.
Technique: Your art is almost show accurate, and it is much more accurate than it was when you first began the comic.
Impact:Awesome, as always. Speaking of impact, NICE HEADBUTT. loved the ending.
Love for you and support always,
Rach and Jaz
Your artwork is fairly great, but you don't have much in the spelling and grammar department that disappointed me a little bit but other than that you're a great writer and this comic series was great and really made me feel like I was involved in this. Continue to draw and write and you can maybe complete things better than this comic series. But just remember that bad grammar and spelling can take away the effect a little bit and that you should focus on originality a little more by coming up with your own ideas. But other than those minor defects try to improve on those and like I said you can write great comics that many people will love just as this one.
I love everything about the story. I love the story, the artwork, the dialogue, everything about this! I love how you made Lyra a huge part of this. I also love how Derpy/Ditzy Doo is here and how it explains how she met The Doctor. Btw, was Derpy's smile at the party when she saw him meant to show something? Like, did she know it was him? I absolutely love the improvement on the art from the beginning to end. There aren't enough words to describe this masterpiece! But for now, I shall settle for an altogether, amazingly fantasticly hugely beautifully perfect fanfic. Thank you for masking this.
This review is for the complete comic, not only this strip. I actually just found out about this great comic via Equestria Daily and read through it in one large session.
Your drawing improvements over the series are tremendous and it was certainly a good idea to update the first strip to get new readers attached. The entire story was very believable, following the original stories of their respective universes. I don't think that this comic needs any follow-up as it is now, as it feels perfectly rounded up. Many moments were really touching, for instance when the Doctor left for that dinner with Lyra, leaving Derpy behind.
I can only imagine how much time and dedication this has actually taken, but you have clearly put a lot of love into this. I wish you best of luck for future projects, and here's an obligatory brohoof: /)
Alright, this is more a critique for the whole series, but here goes!
I've read each and every page. Your art and ability has grown so much since the beginning of all this. Being a diehard DW fan, this comic was like gold for me! The plotlines and twists all made sense, and sometimes I didn't even know what was coming. The characters all had beautiful depth, and Foresight's side comic just added on to that.
Elaborating a bit on the characters, specifically the Doctor, they all stayed true to themselves, never varying from their personalities or morals.
The art was gorgeous, a bit like the show but with your own twist. And yay, the round things!
Overall, great stories that I will never forget! Thank you so much for writing this!
Awesome ending I give you a 5 star for all and this is how it should end...this is AWESOME... and that bump had to hurt. im running out of things to say cause it is a 100 word minimum and im not at 100 words yet but half way infact. awesome tardis design. awesome dizy sign for the doctor it is orginal and funny. got 30 words left.(Don't know how i already didn`t pass the 100 word minimum already still havd about say 10 words left by now right?) 5 stars for your work completely (YES passed the 100 word minimum!!!)
I give you five stars for everything(I am writing this review for the whole comic not just the page) I love the storyline, there was no copying from anything else, the way you draw your ponies is excellent and the story is just amazing. It took a lot of dedication to make such a long and interesting comic and I salute you for that. Whatever your new project is going to be I have a feeling that it is going to be just as amazing as this comic. I love the bright colors and amazing backgrounds that I think you made yourself right? anyhow the new doctor is lovely and I can't help but wonder what he would look like as a human. over all the comic is just fantastic, well done.
