since this'll inevitably turn out long AF, I'll put basic thoughts up here. tl;dr, 'cute' is prolly the best way to describe daima. if u just wanna see dragon ball cuteness (plus flashiness and "worldbuilding") this is the anime for u. if u care at all abt compelling narrative or concepts or characters, I suggest watching any other DB show. besides like, heroes. like even tho I think super is much worse than daima it's more interesting at least. tbh daima's the most basic and boring DB story I can think of--it ALMOST feels like another random anime w/ DB characters in it but I wouldn't go that far. ig it's like dragon quest or smth. which I've never played at all but ... u want an idea of it--I think this is legit the only DB series where nobody (of importance) dies, or is even rly in danger of dying at all--even the villains don't die in this show. it's...'kiddish'. which might be up ur alley, idk. idek why anyone would take my recommendation, but this paragraph is smth of a summary

smth I've recently noticed is that ppl--these days--don't seem to know what pacificism is. they so often use "pacifist" to describe basically a person/character who has moral limits, limits on violence, or is against murder or smth. (annoying af examples: gohan from dragon ball, aang from avatar, moxxie from helluva boss) when a pacifist is opposed to violence of p much any kind and refuses to engage w/ it unless maybe they're pushed. I'm sure there are different "degrees" to it and all, but it's just smth that's been irritating me a bit tangent, but when I think of pacifism, I think of this movie called 'initiation', which was abt several random men being captured and forced to fight other men to the death. when it came to 1 man's turn to fight, he just dropped to his knees and let himself get killed bc as he'd said, he could never hurt anyone.
