The worst that can happen has happened: my NAS is broken (not the HDDs) and everything I've ever done is on it. Now I have to get a new device and hope that the data migration works (according to the manufacturer it should). The old device hasn't been around for a few years. Unfortunately, things from everyday life are also stored on it. You only notice what can no longer be done when it completely fails. 😩
Of course I have a backup there too, but it can't be used directly. I need a functioning NAS for that.🫤
UPDATE 24/10/04:
The new device was delivered and the old hard drives from the defective device were transferred to the new device without any problems, including the data. At the moment it looks as if everything is back. Of course, this only works if you stay with the same manufacturer. 😁

After I replaced the SSD and the RAM and there was no improvement, I thought it was just DAZStudio because it was causing problems on its own and constantly crashing.
Luckily, yesterday I found a post on a forum where people were also having problems with constant crashes. It now turns out that the cause lies solely in the CPU. I have an Intel i9-13900KS processor. It seems to work unstable, especially when running in 'Turbo mode'. The CPU fan was also constantly working, which I have never noticed before.
Now I have switched off the CPU Turbo mode in the BIOS and so far it is running like clockwork. Some processes are taking a little longer than before, but DAZStudio hasn't crashed again yet.
The whole thing probably had its origin in a BIOS update in which this mode was activated.
Fed up with DAZ Studio
I'm so sick of DAZ Studio right now. No matter what I do, it crashes and I have no idea what's causing it. I've already tested all components (CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD, etc.), but everything seems to be fine. I have now even completely reinstalled my PC, updated the firmware and used the latest drivers. And it keeps getting worse. It now crashes when there is only one character in the scene and I want to render it. Sometimes it's enough if I just pose one finger and DAZStudio is gone. I also left out all my 'NON DAZ3D' content, but it stays as it is. It's also the only program that messes around. 🤮😠
2024-05-18 Update:
I tested all hardware repeatedly (stress test, etc.) and only with my SSD (c-drive) did the test program fail, but didn't give any real errors. Since it is a slightly older model, I will replace it.
I also uninstalled the NVidia driver. I always had the problem with all drivers that a CRC error occurred at certain points when unpacking. It only worked after what felt like the
