As many of you know, I'm trying to get to PAX this year, and that requires money. Money that I must materialize in some fashion. To do this, in addition to commissions, I have decided to clean people's computers remotely. What this entails is a full system and privacy optimization, removal of junk files, de-frag, anti-malware software instal/update/scan, anti-spyware software install/update/scan, system update, boot-file cleaning, and registry cleaning. All of this is done remotely. All you have to do is follow a link, download a temporary applet, and that is all that needs to happen.

After looking at craig's list and other local repair shops' websites for comps, I've decided to price this at $45. Because you guys are awesome, I'll do $35. Like usual, I can be paid through paypal, but because of the time constraints on this, I can't accept cash by mail.

I really could use all the cash I can get right now. I honestly can't say how important it is to me that I get to PAX. If you could tell your friends about this, they'll get the same rate with referral.

To keep it simple, please contact me through my email, ceilx@live.com, to set up a time and payment if you're interested.

.... and I'd like to get them off my chest so you get the lovely pleasure of being served some fresh ranting on a bed of sob story; complete with silver platter.

Issue 1: For the longest time I've been trying to write one continuous story that's longer than 3,000 words. I haven't even been close to succeeding yet. Recently, with the help of my lovely friend, Ash, I came up with a plot and I've been hashing out the details since. I finished most of the continuity and have moved on to characters. I always have the hardest time making new characters, so I've decided to keep it to a minimum. This, however, is not my problem. My problem is with the characters already made. I've decided to use Jack, Ell, and a brand new character as my mains. If you're reading this the chances are high you know what Jack's like, but in case you don't here's a basic summary: Jack is a complete and total sadistic bitch. Her goal in life is to have fun drop kicking you into hell holding on to your intestines so she can yo-yo you in and out of the 7th circle. She's snarky, rude, and would make the collective of the justice league piss their pants. Jack is my baby, I love writing her more than anything and when I can, I am in my /zone/. However, she's not exactly likable.
More than anything, I would love to see this turn into an E-book, or even a regular book. One of my goals is to actually publish something, and I don't think I could do it without having Jack in it. I know that farther than actually writing the book, it doesn't really matter to anyone else just how much I like Jack. She can (and is) my favorite, but that doesn't mean other people will like her and from general reception lately, I'm worried that the majority of people won't share my opinion. I don't really think there's anything I'm willing to do about it, I wouldn't change Jack in a million years just because people don't like her and it won't stop me writing the book either, but I know I'd be a bit heartbroken if it turned out like that.

Issue2: For everyone that knows me, you should know by now that I absolutely pride myself on my wit. I love those moments getting a snippy little line in here and there. Lately, I feel like I haven't been up to par. For example, whenever I reply to a post on tumblr I always fall into the flat and generic category. It's sad because I know in the back of my mind somewhere I have something I could contribute to the lulz, but no. I'm hoping I'll snap out of it soon.

How many of you instantly thought Harry Potter when you first read that? I'm gonna guess a lot of you.

BUT, this is not about Harry Potter and the first person to comment with spoilers gets a complimentary kick to Saturn. Unfortunately, this is... the opposite of rant drabble that not a lot of you might be interested in. I just want to get it out there.

This is about the fact that I finally, after months and months, gotten closure on something that's been stressing me out for a while. It's one of those things where you thought you'd have to live it out for a loooong time with no definite end, but it actually has an end. It took less time than I thought it would, it ended rather neatly considering, and it ended on my terms. I can't put into words just how freeing that is. I managed to sort everything out, and now with this I can completely move on.

Of course, it now comes with the lovely fact that I'm now completely alone. But you know what, it's ok, because that will change. It gives me the butterflys in my stomach that you would have staring off a diving board into a pool before you jump.

Most of you know by now, but I'll be leaving for Australia in January, and I hopefully won't be returning to the states for a long, long time. I'm so thankful that this happened before I left. I feel like I'm going with a clean slate now. I can go and restart my life with no skeletons in my closet keeping me up at night. On top of that I can go knowing a) I am stronger than my mother, b) not only am I stronger than my mother, I am strong enough to deny immediate reward in return for a better, bigger reward down the line. I feel like I'm completely master of my own being. I know how to not let silly things like a dopamine rush ruin my life.

I've always thought it's one of the hardest things to say no to something you really want, even if that same thing would be outrageously detrimental to your life. The women in my family seem to be specifically vulnerable to that. But I didn't! I beat the cycle! I can act in my own best interest! It's a great feeling to actually have that level of common sense, especially when it seems no one around you actually has it themselves.

Basically; I can take care of myself, even under the hardest conditions. I really feel like I could take on the world.

Question

2 min read
So, a while ago I started a Nuzlocke Soul Silver run. As of now, I'm 6 badges in, but I intend to extend the run into the Kanto region. When I first started, I absolutely wanted to make a comic for it, and I actually have a rough draft done for the first comic. But, after a while, I realized I'm probably going to be really busy, and comic making isn't my forte. That doesn't mean that the idea of a comic is off the table, mind you. First off, I want to know if there would be anyone out there who would actually want to see a nuzlocke comic from me, and if any of you lovely people wouldn't mind assisting me for the first few comics.

Either way, comic or not, you can expect some Nuzlocke themed art relatively soon.
