Description
These strange toad-like creatures, or as locals call them "spiky toads" or "angler toads" dwell deep into the mires of Mytridia and spend most of their time in the oozing murky waters.
Rarely do they venture out of their retreat, only to crawl heavily from one putrid pool to another, for to do so, the creature needs to drag its enormous bulk with the help of all its six warty limbs while waggling a muscular amphibian tail.
But perhaps the most curious thing about the beasts is that they possess a set of wavering luminescent feelers on the top of the head. When hunting, the creature submerges just so that the feelers stick out of the water and sway gently on the wind, while emitting a bizarre greenish glow.
Anyone unfortunately curious enough to approach its source, be it beast or man, would be instantly devoured by the huge gaping maw, rising from beneath in a whirlwind of mud and foam.
