The "Monsters" logo and most of the monsters themselves are based on Kenner's 1989 "Classic Monsters" action figures for The Real Ghostbusters toy line

Roughly from left to right:

Ahagotsu is more a replacement for the "Mummy Monster"--he's based on a character created by West End Games for the Tobin Spirit Guide supplement for the Ghostbusters International RPG.

The Herald of Gozer is not based on a toy--she's my brother Ogre's creation, and previously appeared in the fan fic "Chronicles of Gozer"

Bombie is a fairly direct use of the "Zombie Monster" likeness, though I gave him the blank, droopy eyes to match those of our version's namesake, the zombie from Carl Bark's legendary "Voodoo Hoodoo" story. His first fan fic appearance was in "Panther-Panther Burning Bright"

In the center is a character making his debut: he's based on the "Dracula Monster" but that's all I'm gonna say for now.

At the back is Tungsten the Werewolf, aka Reinhold Elmer Talbot. He's more or less the "Werewolf Monster", and made his debut in the fan fic "The Werewolf of Notre Dame"

Next to Tungsten is Glenn, strongly based on the "Frankenstein Monster". I admit the cover is somewhat deceptive, as he doesn't actually appear in this story but using this whole group shot just felt right. If you read the stories in chronological order, think of him as foreshadowing his debut in "The Monster of Lungbarrow"

The same is true of Doctor Vidius, Glenn's "creator". He's an original character who also debuted in "The Monster of Lungbarrow."

Last but certainly not least, Igor is based on the design of the "Quasimodo Monster", but wearing an expensive suit instead of rags, though I kept the Kenner colors for the outfit. You learn a thing or two about him in this story also; his debut was also in "Panther-Panther Burning Bright"
