Edit: Saw this winding up in a lot of favorites recently, so I thought I'd clean it up in SAI a bit.

This is the stuff I try to keep in mind when I'm putting my bodies together. Not 100 percent accurate, but pretty solid I think.

My handwriting isn't great, so I re-wrote it in photoshop.

This is really helpful. I always wanted to draw female Characters with curves. This is perfect and looks way more realistic than these typical Anime shapes i am normally used to. Would be great if you could update this with the sketch shapes you are using from different angles. I assume that you must have gotten way better with this at this time. :)

This is how I block things out lately. The more I draw, the more I wind up leaning towards this to block out the body. Easy to see the shapes in space. How I Draw by Ecchi-Senshi

Oh, more useful notes o3o
Nice tips ya got there, hopefully working too. But how much did it take for you to learn the muscules cause in the current state I'm in, I'm pretty bad and barely knows how to draw muscules on a body.

I still haven't learned the muscles really, but there is a good website to reference them from. www.posemaniacs.com/archives/9…

Very useful Ecchi. Having trouble with this a bit. It looks pretty accurate .;)

Yeah, I'm still working on it myself. The more you draw it, the more natural it becomes to draw it seems.

hey that is a excellent explanation of how to put things together and it actually has helped me see things differently when drawing due to the fact i do alot of the anatomy from my head and use very few references so thank you for this

That is a great tutorial. Thank you!

Thank you thank you THANK YOU! I swear, why do print-published anatomy resources focus on male structure/musculature only?! The female form has much more subtlety and dynamic parts. It gives me fits! Thanks for this lady-centric study series!
