[TOW] Walk Among Gods

Twyla was restless that night, thinking about everything that transpired recently. Naturally, she would get up and go for a walk at Loch Ly in these cases, so she did just that, but she opted to go on the cliffs above it for the time being as it was now trickier to traverse the beach and she did not want to learn how to do so in the dark.

As she walked, she pondered. Why have the events of recent transpired? It felt like Tephe and just the Way in general have been getting slammed with events. First the War of the Way, then the Great Flood, and now the possibility of a Specter roaming Tephe territory. It caused Twyla's head to buzz like a swarm of angry bees. She almost wondered if Elio left Tephe for more than just wanting adventure - did he have a bad feeling about everything? Surely not, but Twyla knew Elio was smarter than he let on.

She wondered if these events were the gods being angry, particularly Oaris. If so, what had the wolves done to deserve this - was it due to the war and breaking Caohr's code by killing during the war? That couldn't be, as Twyla remembered the code stating that war was an exception.

As Twyla thought, the decision to choose her task became a lot clearer. The reason she hadn't picked a task in the pack yet was because she couldn't decide if she wanted to be a Vicar or a Courser. But as she thought about the gods and the happenings in the way... the path she wanted to take became clearer to her.

Twyla glanced over towards the moon - Dhillir was watching over her it seemed. Twyla scanned the ocean the moon hovered over. She was always interested in the gods, so maybe becoming a Vicar and learning to speak with the very gods she was always fascinated with was the right path for her.

Tomorrow, she would approach someone to begin her journey as a Vicar - to learn what does or doesn't have a reason and see if she could figure out if the gods are truly angry at all.
