[TOW] Vacation Days

Prompt: Better than a Dream

With the advent of estir's retreat, wolves flock to the location

Panel 1:

Aelfric takes this opportunity to take a vacation. With Aesa in tow, he spent most of the time taking things at his leisure and enjoying the break he was able to take from his near constant work in the Lyceum since the flood. It felt nice to take a moment to himself and breathe and just hang out alone... well, as alone as he can get with Aesa constantly following him. The retreat was peaceful and though he wasn't disgruntled at the fact that it would end eventually, he took the time to just enjoy it while it lasted.

Panel 2:

Elio and Twyla are enjoying the retreat festivities together, with Elio being overjoyed that Twyla decided to come with him and Eryn to the retreat. Eryn has long since taken off to do whatever she would like, Elio and Twyla find themselves befriending a small pup named Ignace, happily spending time with him and keeping him busy - all while his parents are watching closely.

Panel 3:

Eliana has come to the retreat to check it out and explore around. She hadn't expected to stay long, but she found it quite enjoyable to be here. It was a tranquil spot and while the large influx of wolves - some who's faces she recognized so it definitely was all three packs checking out the area - was a bit stressful for Eliana, there were many hidden gems to explore all on her own. She is feeling a lot more tired as of late, though...

Panel 4:

The past year had been stressful. Very stressful. While sparring with her pack back at home was a good outlet for her past stresses, it wasn't relaxing. So when Ingo heard whispers of some settlement popping up and that the pack was permitted to go there and check it out, Ingo was immediately interested. She wanted to get away from the vast plains of Volaires for a while to just... forget about everything for a bit. She was firm on staying in Volaires, finally feeling like she had a place there as a Cadres in spite of fighting for her life for where she is now. When arriving at the retreat, Ingo took care to have as much fun as she could possibly have. She sparred with wolves from many different backgrounds, went fishing and caught a rare fish that seemed to catch the eyes of everyone... and even felt comfortable telling the story about how she lost her eye... something she had never been able to talk about before. She felt empowered and... happy. For once in her life. It was also a liiittle amusing to see Gudrun enjoying herself too... flower covered and all. All in all, Ingo was enjoying the retreat as much as she could, because she would have to return to Volaires eventually.

Panel 5:

Siebold wanted to come to the retreat for more than just to check it out and possibly find new faces... he was looking for that wolf he saw at the border the previous winter, still unable to take his mind of how much like his mother and older sister she looked. Of course, he became sidetracked a little bit and he found joy in interacting with the wolves at the retreat. He managed to find himself talking to two ladies from Volaires and Tephe, accompanying them on a forest walk and talking about whatever came to mind.

Panel 6:

Koa didn't actually want to go to the retreat at first. But their father demanded they go with the group heading to the retreat to check it out, and begrudgingly they accepted so their father wouldn't throw another one of his fits if they said no. To Koa's absolute pleasant surprise, they were somewhat enjoying their time there. It got them away from their dad at least, who opted not to go. However, Koa would still rather be at home and not stick around for too long. They are spending a cloudy day talking to Clive and it feels like the conversation is taking absolutely forever, but Koa sticks around anyway because it was definitely better to partake in a long conversation than talk with their dad.

Speaking of which this piece has been in the plans and works since the beginning of the estir's retreat event! its also the first time in five years that i've done a full roster compilation piece for an rp group LOL. The gang's all here... in different places! (except Elio and Twyla they are always like 2 feet away from each other)
